Brock Purdy’s career in the NFL is no short of being a fairy tale! Drafted last at the 2022 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, becoming ‘Mr. Irrelevant’. He has turned it all around. Just in his second season, he has the opportunity to join the ranks of some of the greatest QBs in football history.
As the 49ers look to take back their loss at Super Bowl LIV against the Kansas City Chiefs. They have a new anchor within their roster, the 24-year-old QB in his sophomore season. And with a victory, Purdy will etch his name next to the likes of Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes.

Very few QBs have been able to play in the Super Bowl, let alone win it. But with Purdy’s tender age of just 24, he is set to mark his name on both of those records. He is set to be the 3rd youngest QB ever to start a Super Bowl game. On 11th February, Purdy will be 23 years and 340 days old, behind only Dan Marino and Ben Roethlisberger.
Purdy awesome Brock! ✨

2) Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers (23 years, 340 days)

But if he goes one step further by winning the Super Bowl against the Chiefs, he’ll find himself in the company of truly exceptional QBs. Additionally he will find himself higher on the list, compared to Brady and Mahomes.
At Super Bowl XXXVI, Brady was 24 years and 184 days old when he first lifted the Lombardi Trophy with the New England Patriots. Mahomes was 24 years and 138 days old at Super Bowl LIV, at his first win. Purdy will only be 23 years and 340 days and can shatter their records. But there’s one man whose record, even he won’t be able to break.
Ben Roethlisberger is the youngest to do it
Even though Roethlisberger is the second youngest QB ever to start a Super Bowl game. He is the youngest ever to win the Lombardi Trophy. And the former playmaker of the Pittsburgh Steelers broke the record in his rookie season.
