Let’s take a little detour from the playoffs buzz and talk about something super sweet; Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes’ new baby girl, Golden Raye. Yep, Golden made her debut during the Chiefs‘ bye week. And let’s be real, it’s the most Mahomes-level timing ever. “Cool that we got the bye because you can really focus in on just being at the hospital and being in the moment,” Mahomes said on welcoming his third baby. And now, Brittany has given us an inside look at Golden’s nursery.

Not a long while ago, Brittany took to social media as she shared some glimpses of her little girl’s nursery. “When I found out I was having a baby girl, my mind immediately went to Pink for the nursery,” Brittany said. But Golden’s mom wasn’t the only one to design her nursery. Turns out Dad, Patrick, has his shares as well who led the project.

“I took the lead with presenting idea to the design team, but Patrick definitely had a say in choosing select pieces and options they gave us,” Brittany said. “We both spend a lot of time in the nursery, so we wanted to make sure it was a space we were both comfortable in.” So it turns out, Patrick was the one to select the pieces while Brittany’s job was to choose the color of the nursery.

Speaking of the pink theme, well, this isn’t your typical bubblegum pink situation. Brittany was totally mindful of keeping the nursery warm and inviting with blush tones and soft gold accents that can be seen across the nursery.

The gold details? Yeah, those are a little nod from Golden’s name that will make you go, “It’s perfect.” Moving forward to Golden’s mom’s post, Brittany took us to the most important section of the nursery. “I think this is like the most important part of a nursery,” Brittany continued. “When building it, you spend a lot of time in this chair as a mom, whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle feeding, reading in books, doing nighttime routine, so it needs to be comfortable.”

Well, that’s not all. They’ve even added an adjustable ottoman so both Brittany and Patrick can sit comfortably while resting their legs. Because, of course, Golden’s got a tall dad, right? And talking about the drawer knobs? It’s just cherry on the top. Brittany did a fine job, or should we say, a super cute job as she swapped them out for little bow-shaped ones as a nod to baby girl bows.

“A super cute detail we did,” Brittany further mentioned. “We changed the knobs out for Golden bows, for baby girl bows are so cute, and then obviously it just goes with her name.” That said, we can really tell how much thought Brittany and Patrick put into building Golden’s nursery after finding out they’re welcoming a baby girl.

On January 12, the Mahomes family is now complete just the way Patrick Mahomes wanted for long. The couple is now proud parents of their eldest girl, Sterlinh Skye (3), son, Patrick “Bronze” (2), and newly welcomed baby girl, Golden Raye. However, after welcoming their third child together, Mahomes has confirmed that he’s not looking to extend his family anytime soon.

“I’m good with three for right now,” Patrick said. “We’ll see down the line, maybe.” The reason? The Chiefs QB always wanted to have three kids and after welcoming their third child, it looks like Patrick and Brittany want to stick with three kids for the time coming. “But my goal was always three. So, we’ve had three. And we’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on,” Mahomes continued.

In the meantime, besides being a father of three beautiful children, Patrick Mahomes is all set to take charge of the Chiefs as Kansas City prepares to clash against the Houston Texans in the divisional round. On the other hand, Brittany Mahomes is taking care of her newborn along with Sterling and Bronze. “Brittany’s doing everything,” Patrick said further. “So I’m just trying to be supportive.”
