Brittany Mahomes often engages her followers with interesting social media updates and revelations. Recently, she dropped a new story on her Instagram handle that displayed her affection for the new unexpected addition to their family pets.

Undoubtedly, the Kansas City Chiefs QB’s wife is a zoophilist, and hence her latest update shines on similar lines. This post came just a few days after she spotted the unexpected guest, a mother duck with its nest in her backyard. Earlier, Brittany 28, witnessed that a duck was laying eggs in her house’s garden. Following that, in a sudden turn of events, she took to her official Instagram account to share the grim update on the duck’s eggs.

Along with sharing the snap of the eggs in the nest, the mother of two demonstrated her emotions in her post caption that read, “One of the eggs was broke, and I think, she literally took it away.. and then there were 8,” using crying emoji. This was preceded by her update earlier, which witnessed Brittany exhibiting her enthrallment, remarking, “Guys OMG. Our pet duck is gonna have 9 babies. I can’t wait to see them,” giving her fans a closer look at the nest.

The retired soccer player couldn’t resist capturing a beautiful snap of a duck residing in her house and moving away from the nest. She shared it with her 1.9M followers in her IG story, expressing her love for the ducks. Her post caption read, “Duckie is living her best life, she knows she is in a safe place,” using a heart emoji.

She continued following the duck in her house garden, from checking the 9 eggs to spotting the duck in the river area and weeping over spotting one less egg. She then captured the duck on camera again, sitting beside the nest, displaying her affection for the ducks. Previously, Brittany’s love for ducks went viral when she first saw the nest in her house. She nearly wrecked her ankle when she went to check the duck’s eggs with her NFL husband.

Patrick was seen protecting his wife from the duck at that moment. As the NFL power couple pursued the bird, Brittany stated, “The duck is gone. We’re going to check. I’m not about to get attacked by a duck. And he has my back… Be on guard.” Patrick, who appeared to have noticed the duck, informed his wife, “It was right there!” leading Brittany to misstep and almost twisting her ankle.

This isn’t the first time Brittany’s love of animals has become known to her fans. Earlier, the NFL couple’s love for their furry family members stole the hearts of many.

Amidst her affection for the duck’s babies, she also shared an adorable snap of her canines in another IG story, showing herself as a big pet person. The co-owner of the Kansas City Current penned a heartfelt note in her post caption, mentioning, “Away from these crazies,” using an emoji.

Earlier, Brittany disclosed how dogs Steel and Silver prepared her for parenthood as she is now the mother to two kids, Sterling and Patrick “Bronze.” During an interview with E! News in May, Brittany remarked, “It helped a lot. I got Steel when I was in college, so just having that responsibility of having to take care of something at all times, I think helped with my kids and made me the caregiver that I am and made it a little bit easier to transition.”

She also highlighted how her dogs assisted her children in becoming more responsible around the house. She stated, “Our daughter loves to help feed the dogs and help take them on walks and get them outside. And they love to play fetch with them. I always had dogs in my household growing up, so I definitely want to do the same for my kids.” Earlier, Brittany aligned with her husband for the KC Pet Project, a nonprofit charitable animal shelter based in Kansas City that offered a fee waiver for dog adoption.
