Perioral Dermatitis is an inflammatory skin condition that commonly affects young adults, causing symptoms such as acne, dryness, itching, and mild burning sensations around the mouth and nose. Brittany’s decision to share her story not only raises awareness about this condition but also emphasizes the need to seek expert advice rather than self-diagnosing and treating it.

Brittany included a poll with two options: “Yes, please share” and “Nahh.” This poll not only serves as a means for Brittany to know her followers’ interest in hearing more about her skincare experiences but also encourages engagement and interaction within her Instagram community.

However, this is not the first time Brittany has shed light on health issues.

Brittany shed light on severe food allergies in children

Previously, she has raised awareness about severe food allergies in young children, prompted by a harrowing experience involving their son, Bronze. Last summer, the Mahomes family found themselves in a state of panic as they rushed one-year-old Bronze to the emergency room due to a severe allergic reaction to peanuts. Reflecting on the ordeal, Brittany shared the frightening experience on her Instagram, highlighting the importance of vigilance and preparedness when it comes to allergies in children.

To turn their personal scare into a platform for advocacy, Brittany Mahomes partnered with AUVI-q, an emergency treatment injection for allergic reactions. She said, “I’m so excited to be partnering with @auvi_q to help spread awareness about severe food allergies in young children and how to best respond. Talk to a pediatrician about how to be prepared and visit the link in my bio for more information!”.
