The Mahomes family’s celebrations just cannot stop at the moment! Patrick Mahomes might be prepping for the 2024 season that’s on the horizon, but the Chiefs’ star sure was on a day off on the 31st. Why? Brittany Mahomes turned 29 and the whole family took time to wish her and send blessings her way. And by everyone, we mean ALL, even Pat ‘Silky’ Mahomes—Pat Sr. shared love for her daughter-in-law. However, it seems his blessings have gone unnoticed.

First, Pat Sr. went all family ‘dad’ mode, sharing adorable snaps of Brittany on Facebook. He was in some while the others were of his son and daughter-in-law. The caption read: “Happy birthday to my lovely daughter-in-law, Britt. Hope you have a great day.” Pat Sr. reminded us how awesome family celebrations can be as he also shared a photograph from Patrick and Brittany’s wedding. But that’s not it.

Later, he posted the same pictures as a reel via his Instagram account. And guess what? The caption was quite cute. He pasted the link to his Facebook post about the same. So much love for Brittany on her birthday. Almost all saw it coming. It’s her day. But what many did not see coming was Pat Sr. getting blanked by his daughter-in-law.

Yup! It’s almost been 24 hours, but Brittany has not responded to any of the two posts. She didn’t like, comment, or react to her father-in-law’s posts. You might say it’s a stretch and that she must be busy celebrating. Sure, could be a possibility. However, she responded to everyone else in the family and friends. Re-shared Jackson Mahomes’ story with a caption: “Love You.” Shared mother-in-law Randi Mahomes’ story. And of course, uploaded Patrick Mahome’s post on her story with a loving caption reading, “My Everything!” In all she responded to everyone through her story or by commenting, but Pat Sr.

Call it ignorance, a sign of a rift, or just being busy. Fans won’t be getting over this. Especially as the speculations have been already heating over the dad-son relationship.

Is Patrick Mahomes and Dad Pat Sr. having a difficult time bonding?

It seems Brittany just joined Patrick Mahomes on the ‘snubbing Pat Sr.’ train. We do not say that sarcastically, as it has been a growing trend of late. Let’s take it chronologically. Right from when the Chiefs’ star QB did not wish his dad Father’s Day. What got the fans to take it as a hint of something negative brewing was the fact that Pat Sr. wished his son Father’s Day for being a father to two cute little Mahomes: Bronze and Sterling.

However, Patrick did post a classic photograph from the past of him in his father’s arms when Pat Sr. used to don the diamond for the Twins. But the fans did not buy it as many believed that he did it to tone down the speculations. Later, in August, Patrick Mahomes missed out on his dad’s first-ever charity golf tourney.

It was around the preseason game against the Lions, sure. But even a social media nod was missing, when even his KC teammate and best friend Travis Kelce liked the post. But Pat Sr. was not left stranded as Jackson rocked up to support Dad. What irked the fans even more was that Patrick’s love for golf is well-documented. So, for him to not be there, is a little off-putting.

This all could still be speculation, but little incidents like Brittany’s complete ignorance of the post from her father-in-law make the chatter grow louder.
