Cowboys Nation, are you ready to end the thirty-year-long drought? Well, thanks to Jerry Jones, the Cowboys fandom won’t be feeling too positive about it. But QB Dak Prescott is. He thinks it’s their turn now. It looks like Brian Schottenheimer and Klayton Adams have brought quite the confidence in Dak. So how successful will the Cowboys’ next season run be? Well, we’ll have to wait for months to find out. For now, we’ve got some news from the coach’s desk. The Cowboys have finished building their new offensive coaching squad, and one of them has a few things to say about QB Dak.
Jerry Jones’ team now has Ken Dorsey as the new offensive pass game specialist. Dorsey joins the Cowboys after being fired by the Browns following the regular season. Cleveland parted ways with him after just a year because the team’s offense simply couldn’t perform, it was a nightmare to watch. Now, starting fresh with Dallas, Dorsey praised QB Dak Prescott, saying that he can make all the throws, is fast, and makes good decisions, which is key to utilizing weapons.
During the introductory press conference, reporters asked Dorsey how he viewed the Cowboys before joining the team. “Outside looking in, you see the roster that’s put together and the playmakers that we have, obviously, Dak Prescott, the offensive line, and just the physicality we have up front,” said Ken. The 43-year-old has high school, college, and NFL coaching experience on his resume. Dorsey worked with the Bills’ offense for four seasons, including his time coaching Josh Allen. He was fired by the Bills in the middle of the 2023 season after a disappointing 5-5 start.

So now, he is all set to work with Dak Prescott under HC Brian Schottenheimer and OC Klayton Adams. And speaking of Klayton Adams, the Cowboys’ new HC has strong demands from the team’s offense.

Dak Prescott and Co. have new responsibilities to fulfill
Klayton Adams is not here to mess around. He wants action from the Dallas offense -the kind of action straight out of a Tarantino movie. ‘Violent,’ to be exact. “The same thing that I want from every player on offense, and that is to create violence in the game,” Adams made his demand clear. So, Dak and the O-line better be ready to turn the gridiron into a battlefield under the command of General Klayton Adams. The 42-year-old once aspired to play as an LB in the league but somehow ended up becoming a coach. He has had stints with the Colts and the Cardinals and also coached the Colorado Buffaloes for three seasons.
“Be aggressive, run, hit, I think that every decision that we make schematically needs to lean in that direction. So if there’s a gray area, what is going to allow these guys to play more free and run and hit and be violent?” added Klayton. So maybe Cowboys Nation should hold onto some hope. They were already disappointed with Jerry Jones promoting Brian as the head coach -everyone was begging him to bring in Deion Sanders. But Jerry’s going to do what Jerry’s going to do. You can’t expect anything different from him. But maybe, cut the new HC some slack, now that he is here, eh?

“We’re trying to figure out what we do well and how we can make that look multiple. How do we make that look different? That’s the part I’m really looking forward to focusing on,” added new OC Klayton Adams. He seems pumped to kick off his new journey. So, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. Will he be able to help Dak take his shot, or will he simply move on to another team after one season?
