The Jets‘ luck appears to be going even down. The team has not performed well this year, and now injuries have caught up with their running back, Breece Hall. For those who missed it, Hall played against the Seahawks with a damaged knee in Week 13. The RB played the entire game, which worsened his knee issue. And it appears like the man will be missing a large amount of time. But how much precisely?

So far, Breece Hall’s medical reports have come with two possible things the man may have suffered. The doctors feel that the man has either a hyperextension sprain or an MCL issue. While both injuries will preclude him from playing, the timelines for each are very different. He might recover from the hyperextension sprain in 1 to 2 weeks, whereas MCL normally takes a month.

This means that if the RB is not placed in the Injured reserve by the end of week 14, then it would be clear that the man suffered a sprain and could return in weeks 16-17. But if that’s not the case MCL issue will keep him out for a longer time. The report about his health stated, “Breece Hall – Struggled to get through the whole game in Wk13. Hyperextension sprain could take ~2 weeks, but the MCL will vary: Mild 1-2 weeks Moderate 3-4 weeks If he doesn’t land on IR today, we could see him return Wk16-17 (barring Jets’ record factor)”

Jeff Ulbrich has also spoken to the media about Breece Hall’s current situation. The HC revealed that the man had two injuries to the same knee. And, despite his slim chances of returning, the man continues to train. But is he training alongside his teammates?

Breece Hall is not letting his knee injury stop him

As inspiring as it sounds it is the reality. The RB is still practicing with his team on specific days. The HC confirmed that in week 14, Breece Hall missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. However, on Friday, he underwent a full-day practice session.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Breece Hall's injury the final nail in the coffin for the Jets this season?

Have an interesting take?

Jeff Ulbrich stated on Friday, “There was a little bit of MCL, a little bit of a hyperextension. So a little bit of both in just not cooling….. He is trending in the right direction. Yeah. We’ll see how he responds to today because he missed obviously Wednesday and Thursday. So we’ll see how he feels after a full day of work, especially on the turf.”

So far, the only thing we can safely say about Breece Hall is that he will not play against the Dolphins. The Jets would face a significant struggle in overcoming the Dolphins without their star running back. So what do you think about that? Do you believe the team can win?
