Are the Raiders doomed without Davante Adams, or can they rally and prove the doubters wrong?

With a disappointing 2-3 record, the Raiders have struggled to find their footing at the beginning of the season. Compounding their troubles, Davante Adams has been absent from several games due to a hamstring injury. The Raiders’ losing streak continued as the Denver Broncos defeated them in their most recent game. The loss wasn’t a close one. Now, it seems the 34-18 defeat has certainly caused chaos in the Raiders locker room.

However, their DE Maxx Crosby isn’t giving in to false narratives. Certainly, Davante Adams’ trade rumors have affected him to some degree as well. After the game, the media was quick to catch up with Crosby in the locker room and asked him how the WRs absence has affected him.

“You think I’m not used to the s–t going on? It is what it is. I’ve been dealing with it my whole career. It is what it is. Davante is my boy. I love Davante. He’s going to do what he’s going to do. I’m praying for him. I wish him the best. He’s not healthy right now. He’s got to get healthy. We’re focused on the Raiders. We’re focused on who’s here now. We’re focused on winning. There are fun ways to do that,” Crosby told the media personnel post-game.

At this point, everyone knows what the Davante Adams commotion is all about. The 6x Pro Bowler declared that he wanted a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders, and it feels like he’s back to square one again. He was frustrated last year because of his team’s performance and he’s at the same juncture once again.

Despite being an elite talent, Adams hasn’t won a ring yet, and that’s something that is on the top of his bucket list. Maybe Aaron Rodgers will give him that chance. There’s so much drama going around the Las Vegas Raiders and Maxx Crosby got reeled into it somehow. After the media talk, he relayed a message to all his haters.

Crosby might have been tense because he missed the first game of his career against the Cleveland Browns last week. This was presumably because of an ankle injury he sustained. But for NFL executive Michael Lombardi, this was something else. Lombardi took to the Pat McAfee Show and suggested that things between Antonio Pierce and Maxx Crosby were sour.

Clearly, he didn’t know the reality of the Raiders locker room, and the Raiders DE was quick to remind him that he was wrong. Let’s just say that Maxx Crosby’s comments were not pretty. The media spoke to him after the game and Crosby didn’t hold back at all.

“And now I got to deal with these clowns are talking online on The Pat McAfee Show saying, you know, something’s going on and they’re speaking for me, saying I should be on the sidelines,” Crosby said. “These clowns are sitting on the couch talking about what I should be doing. But the reality is, I’m gaining yardage, trying to get it right. That’s why I get back on the field.”

Maxx Crosby channeled his inner Birdman, telling Lombardi, “Don’t speak on my name.” But it seems like the Raiders are a long way from a winning season despite all of Maxx Crosby’s efforts.
