The NFL world was shocked when Aaron Rodgers decided to move to the Jets. Things were fine and dandy until Rodgers suffered the Achilles tear and was ruled out for the season. Since then, he has been trying to fit in with the Jets any way he can. He couldn’t stay away from the game and was reportedly coaching the team and mentoring Zach Wilson ahead of some key games.

However, some new facts came to light, and fans may be delighted to hear what the veteran QB had to say about his status on the Pat McAfee show. Is it too early to celebrate for Rodgers? From the looks of it, Christmas might come early for Rodgers fans as he is eyeing his return to the field soon.

McAfee didn’t waste any time and jumped straight into it. He asked Rodgers about the Jets’ standing and his willingness to bounce back on the field. He asked whether he thinks of returning to the field after watching the Jets play for a while. He also asked whether the team could do a 360 and make a comeback. Rodgers mentioned how he has a lot of faith in his team and says, “We’ll be in the mix for sure,” referring to the team’s position in the upcoming games.

For now, Rodgers is focused on getting better and taking small steps each day. Though this is a conversation that Rodgers might have had with the Jets staff, he is focused on getting his movement right and gaining his strength back. He said how he perfectly executed a gun drop in the training simulation with the Jets. He has got some of his strength back and added that he is working his way up slowly but surely.

The hosts got to talking about his presence on the sidelines. He was asked if he judges the plays that go on the field while he is wearing a headset on the field. He mentioned that, for him, it was not about calling plays but instead being “a voice of calm” to help the team figure out the best course of action.
