Have you seen the Eagles play like that in recent times? Saquon Barkley broke all sorts of barriers on Sunday, going for more than 250 yards. It has got to be one of the best games of his career. But the Philly team didn’t come out unscathed. Injuries marred their season more than they would have preferred, but perhaps the saddest one was to Brandon Graham.
The pass rusher left with an elbow injury, later diagnosed as a torn triceps. Sad. He’s reportedly out for the season. But the matter seems to be more serious. Apparently, this might be the last football injury Graham will take in his career.

Media was quick to get a word from Graham and his response was heartbreaking. He was emotional in the locker room and admitted that he was out for the season. But this is not how he wanted to exit the National Football League. “If I had to go out like this, I gave it everything I got,” Graham said in the locker room interview.

The Guard nearly completed the game but couldn’t quite finish it. He sustained an injury halfway through the fourth quarter. The longest-tenured player on the Eagles roster was evaluated on the sidelines before he headed to the locker room, not to return to play any further. This was supposed to be his farewell year, but it didn’t feel like it because the 15-year veteran continued to get a lot of playtime.
The Eagles gave him a one-year extension this off-season. Furthermore, the great run of the Birds in the current season might have changed BG’s mind. Before leaving the game, he recorded a sack, 2 tackles for loss, three QB hits, and defended a pass. The gut-wrenching injury has the Philly fans heartbroken. On that note, we couldn’t resist but go back to his conversation with Sirius XM Zach Gelb.
The Radio personality pushed BG to talk about his off-season comments where he said that this might be his last season. Gelb wanted to know whether Graham had changed his mind. The 36-year-old planned to go out in a big way, holding a Lombardi Trophy, knowing that he won’t get a chance to hold it after this season.
“One thing I know is when I call it quits, I’m gone. It’s gone forever. So, this is the last level. That’s what we’re talking about. It’s the last level you can get to in football. And so, for me, I want to make sure that I go out in a big way, hopefully, we’re holding that trophy. And if we hold that trophy, I might have to go out on top,” Graham admitted in the conversation.
Graham has played 205 games in his 15-year career and recorded 355 solo tackles, 75.5 sacks (3 in the franchise history), and 23 forced fumbles. But bad comes with good, and no, we’re not talking about the Eagles winning the game. We’re talking about Saquon Barkley, who’s an absolute baller.

Saquon Barkley dominates the Rams
The Eagles running back let his presence known in the game where he rushed for 255 yards and scored two touchdowns. But don’t take those touchdowns lightly. On both occasions, Barkley ran for 70 or more yards and lit up the SoFi Stadium. After the game, though, he had a special message to share with Philly fans.
“What’s up Eagles fans? It’s Saquon Barkley here. Thank you, guys, so much for the love and support. You guys came, showed out, took over this house. Much love. Go Birds!” Barkley said in the video shared by the Philadelphia Eagles on their Instagram page after the 37-20 win. Barkley’s rushing yards set the record for the most in a single game in the Philadelphia Eagles’ history.

With this game, Barkley leads the NFL in rushing yards, surpassing Derrick Henry for first in the league and his previous record of 1,312 rushing yards with the Giants. He still has six games left to play! That’s awe-inspiring. Now the Eagles sit at 9-2, at the top of the NFC East and the only team ahead of them is the Detroit Lions (10-1).
