It’s Black Friday time. The Chiefs and the Raiders battled. And what a game it was. At one point, the Raiders were in a winning position and clearly looked like they would walk off the field with a win in hand. With 10 seconds remaining on the clock, the Chiefs forced them to make a fumble. And bang, they won the game 19-17. Now, the HC Antonio Pierce has opened up.
During the post-game conference, he revealed that they wanted to pass off a few seconds before taking a field goal attempt from 49 yards. While confirming his stance about the snap, he was disappointed with the outcome. Most Raiders fans feel the same.

The game was theirs to win. At halftime, the Raiders were 3-10. But they came out in the 3rd quarter like a unit ready to devastate their rivals. At 14:52 mark, they were ahead with 17-16. The Chiefs raced ahead to 19-17 at 9:52 with a field goal. Antonio Pierce must be thinking they can win from there. There was a shocker for them.
With 10 seconds remaining in the game, Raiders’ center Jackson Powers-Johnson made an early snap, resulting in a fumble. The game ended with 17-19 for the Silver and the Black. The Raider Nation was left bewildered. The locker room was disappointed.
However, the HC showed a big heart as well. Despite losing the game, he praised the Chiefs quarterback.

Antonio Pierce praised Patrick Mahomes after the week 13 matchup
It was a battle of skills as well. While Aidan O’Connell had 23 of 35 passes (65.71% completion rate) in 340 passing yards with 2 touchdowns, Patrick Mahomes recorded 26 of 46 passes (56% completion rate) in 306 yards with 1 touchdown. But his 2nd quarter touchdown pass to Justin Watson was magical. It only had a 26.6% completion probability. But he made it happen. It was the difference in both teams.
Antonio Pierce was respectful of the Grim Reaper’s performance and said, “I thought at times, not that we frustrated him, but he felt us. The more we could put hits on him the better.” That’s great. The Chiefdom must also be feeling the same. Their signal caller has been the pillar of the team who has kept the locker room united.
