It appears that week 17 has made things interesting in the NFL. For those who missed, the Bengals overcame the Broncos in a tough game. This is not good news for the Broncos as it puts their playoff aspirations in jeopardy. Ouch. This loss has come at a very bad time but it appears that QB Bo Nix’s wife has found a positive note in this game too. Wait, positive from this game, what could it be?

Well, for those who missed the game live, you need to check the highlights. It had some incredible moments in which Bo Nix fired an unbelievable 51-yard touchdown pass to Marvin Mims Jr. Wait WHAT? It was a quick move after the WR was able to break loose from the defense. Bo Nix took the opportunity and used his exceptional arm strength to propel the ball almost 70 yards in the air. It was simply an Oh My God moment! It created a lot of buzz and Izzy Nix reposted it in her IG story with caption, “Proud of him.”

The moment helped the Broncos gain the momentum they needed to get back in the game. But the QB-WR combination didn’t stop there. In the last few moments, they both once again showed incredible coordination to register a 25-yard touchdown. (This is why they are game-changers.) Bo Nix made sure Mims didn’t have to dangle much and delivered a picture-perfect toss to score this touchdown.

However, the squad never elected to go for two points following this touchdown. And this may have been the reason why they lost the game. Even the head coach, Sean Payton, thinks the same way. But why didn’t the team go for 2 points to seal the game?

Playing aggressively can be effective in some situations. But the Broncos were not willing to take that risk here. WHY? Well, Sean Payton addressed this in his statement and revealed the reason. The HC revealed how Bo Nix and his teammates were prepared, but the team eventually decided that it would be best to settle for a tie. The logic behind this was to tie the game in overtime and conclude it that way to avoid losing the game.

The Bengals, however, outsmarted the Broncos and scored the game-winning touchdown. Payton explained, “A tough one to lose but we had our opportunities. I am proud of this team. I thought it wasn’t perfect but man the will to compete and the answer was pretty impressive. We spent some time thinking about going for two, we knew a tie for us was just as beneficial as a win. We felt like we had the momentum at that point, so it went back and forth, and in the end, we didn’t make enough plays they did.”
