When Courtland Sutton said that Bo Nix is going a long way in this league, he wasn’t lying. However, he didn’t mention the ‘big brother‘ role he is playing for Nix on the field. Feeling confused? Here’s the backstory.
A few days ago, after the Broncos’ amazing 38-6 win over the Falcons, Sutton was full of praise for the young QB, saying he’d make his mark on the NFL record books. But you know, there’s always someone behind your success. And for Nix, the 29-year-old is proving to be a huge help on the field, just like a big brother.
The Broncos beat the Raiders 29-19 in Week 12 of the NFL. Well, the stars of the night were Courtland Sutton and Bo Nix. The duo helped the Broncos add another win to the tally. Both looked unstoppable on the field, leaving the Raiders’ defense struggling. Post the win, Nix had a little something to say for the league. Praising his buddy Sutton, the 24-year-old QB said, “When it’s up in the air the air, it’s his or nobody’s. It’s not going to be a pick.”

Bo Nix on Courtland Sutton: “When it’s up in the air the air, it’s his or nobody’s. It’s not going to be a pick”
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) November 25, 2024
The Broncos’ WR Sutton was at his absolute best against the Raiders, grabbing 8 passes out of 10 thrown his way. Sutton also added 97 yards and two TDs to his stats. Bo Nix put up 273 yards and scored two touchdowns. He’s got 16 touchdowns on the board now. The Broncos we’re seeing this year are a whole new team compared to last season. Nix and Sutton have given the team a whole new energy. You can just tell the vibe is different now, and they’ve got a real shot at turning things around.
They are improving, but the question is, can they keep it up? Can they face tougher teams like the Chiefs or the Eagles? Nix has been an outstanding performer, he has played good football. But the real test would be when he will face off against the other top QB’s.

Can Bo Nix face stronger teams?
Can Nix continue to perform like he did in the last two games? That’s the question on everyone’s mind. Like, Commanders QB Jayden Daniels had people comparing him to Lamar Jackson after some good performances, but then his streak ended. Bears QB Caleb Williams is kind of in the same boat. Though he performed well in the recent game. The inconsistency shows that they’ve still got a lot to learn in the NFL.
The Broncos faced the chiefs in week 10 and lost against them. Nix threw two touchdowns in that game. The Chiefs have been a top team this season, they only have a single game in their losing column. Earlier in September, they faced the Steelers and ended up losing that one. Steelers defense did not let the Broncos QB score any touchdown in that game. Nix also fell short against Lamar Jackson’s Ravens. It looks like there is some inconsistency here.

Anyway, it’s too early to say anything. Nix has been showing that he is a player of caliber. Hopefully, he keeps it up and stays consistent. The upcoming challenges are not going to be easy. There are some tough matchups lined up,. and all eyes will be on Nix and the Broncos.
