What an absolute nightmare of a stretch for the Denver Broncos! After a horrific 41-10 loss against the Baltimore Ravens, they are now set to face the Chiefs for their week 10 clash against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs. And to top off this terrible schedule, snowfall is predicted during their Sunday Night clash. Keeping all these conditions in mind ahead of the SNF clash, an ex-NFLer has shared a warning over the Chiefs’ possibly spoiling Bo Nix‘s ‘fun time’ and Broncos’ playoff run on November 10th.
The Broncos’ young QB Bo Nix recently mentioned his excitement about playing in the snow for the first time. However, in the recent episode of the “DNVR Broncos Podcast”, Brian Baldinger talked about concerns over the team possibly facing another heartbreak on Sunday. As per the former Cowboys star, playing back-to-back against the Ravens and the Chiefs is quite a tough stretch, not just for the Broncos but for any team in this league as “these two are probably the best team in the AFC this season and are possibly on the collision course for the playoffs”.
He added that to tighten their grip over the Broncos, Reid and Chiefs’ defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo would surely try to cut off the running space for Bo Nix and could pit 24-year-old LB Nick Bolton against him “so he can’t just pull it down and run as he did against the Ravens.” Baldinger further advised the Broncos to “play better than you did last week. You don’t want to give up as many explosive plays as you like to get it into the fourth quarter.”

Playing against two teams back-to-back who are currently running riots in the AFC is a tough job and any NFL fan would know it. It is going to be a challenge for Sean Payton’s side to find all the answers, connect all the dots perfectly if they want to do the impossible: pull the brakes on the Chiefs’ run. All we can do is now wait and see if the Broncos can get the job done on Sunday and keep their playoff run on, or will it be just another winning weekend for the Chiefs? Only time can tell.

Sean Payton aiming possible bounce-back against the Chiefs
The Broncos are set to travel to the Arrowhead Stadium to face the current undisputed AFC West leaders, Kansas City Chiefs. It seems HC Payton has already gotten over the humiliating defeat against the Baltimore Ravens last week. And now as the team aims for the rest of the season, hoping to start the turnaround with a bounce-back against Andy Reid’s side.
In a recent interview, Broncos HC spoke about getting back on track from last week’s disappointment. Payton said, “There’s a little bit of UFC to our league. Each week, I don’t care who you’re playing, if you’re not careful, you can catch one in the chin. But you’ve got to get back up, and you’ve got to get back to work”. He mentioned that not only do the players need to get back to the mental toughness, the grit, and everything else, but also all the coaches and everyone else involved in the organization. Talking about facing the Chiefs, he said that they are excited to “play the next game to hopefully get the taste out of your mouth”.

After last week’s defeat, the Broncos are currently in the third spot of the AFC West table with a 5-4. They do have tough competition for the playoff contentions with the Bills, Steelers, Ravens, Texans, and Chiefs. But surely the team will fight till the very end for their spot.
Well, playing against the Chiefs is one thing, eight teams have done that already. But winning against them this season is another, none succeeded at that. Does the Broncos have what it takes to finally bring Patrick Mahomes and Co. on their knees for the first time this season? Probably not. But well, it’s the NFL and sometimes what’s impossible, also happens when the time is right.
