Bo Nix may have avoided a Denver curse, you know. I mean, remember how Russell Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett attended Nuggets games while they were in Denver? Like they still hadn’t proved themselves in Mile High City, but Hackett and Wilson kept their public appearance rolling. Trying to win Denver’s hearts by blending with their local sports fandom. Those maneuvers and pairing of Hackett and Wilson soon turned into the Broncos’ biggest nightmare. Hackett was fired 15 games into his first season, and Wilson—well, he was gone next year with a black mark in his future Hall of Fame resume. So, Nix may have done something he will probably not regret, unlike Wilson.
“What’s up, everyone, it’s Bo here. Just wanted to say we’re at the Nuggets game. Just wishing luck to the guys,” Nix said via the Nuggets’ official X page from courtside. Yep, finally, after a year since expressing his desire to catch a Nuggets game live, Nix made his much-awaited courtside appearance. So, what took him so long to cheer Denver-based Nuggets? Well, the DNVR Broncos have a theory that might be absolutely bang on.
“Bo Nix waited a full season until he showed he was the truth,” the podcast said, taking a clear jibe at Wilson. See, Wilson’s first season in Denver was a complete disaster, like the Game of Thrones season 8. All hype—no substance. Sacked a career-high 55 times, Wilson threw only 16 TDs and a whopping 11 INTs starting all 15 games. But Nix had a completely different impact in Mile High City, that too, as a rookie QB out of Oregon Ducks.

While he was not attending other Denver sporting events, Nix was busy putting his mark on the franchise. He led the Broncos to their first playoff campaign since Super Bowl 50 with a 10-7 record. His rookie numbers weren’t so rookie at all. As he threw for 3,775 yards, 29 TDs, and just 12 INTs. Judging by Nix’s stance for not attending the Nuggets game until last Friday. You can easily say he wanted his plays to grab more attention than his presence in public. He was like, ‘I will allow the Gridiron do the talking, and everything else will fall into place.”

And it did. Nix is now the face of Denver sports, which Wilson once dreamt of but failed miserably. Not so DangeRuss was he in Denver. Never mind. Moving on, the Broncos are probably thinking about adding a 6-time Pro Bowl receiver to their offense to keep on supplying Nix with offensive weapons.
Denver Broncos to target Caleb Williams’ former receiver, in free agency
From one rookie to another, former Bears receiver Keenan Allen is being touted as the perfect fit for Bo Nix’s development. Coming off a one-and-done campaign in Windy City, Allen caught 70 passes for 744 yards while scoring 7 TDs in 15 starts. Still only 32, Allen might be on the wrong side of 30. But he has never failed to show what he is still capable of when put in the right system.

What’s your perspective on:
Is Bo Nix the new face of Denver sports, succeeding where Russell Wilson failed?
Have an interesting take?
Maybe that’s why The Athletic’s Jeff Howe believes Allen could be the ideal receiver for the Broncos offense. “Allen would fit well into Denver’s offense, where he could spell Marvin Mims Jr. and Devaughn Vele on the perimeter or in the slot. His route-running, hands, and experience could also benefit young quarterback Bo Nix as he continues to develop.” See if the Broncos really want to add Allen to their receiving corps. They might have to do some financial maneuvering, you know.
Broncos only have $15.6M cap space remaining, and it could further fluctuate depending upon the upcoming draft. So, only through reworking some veteran contracts the Broncos might be able to pull off this move. Only time will tell what’s gonna come out of this rumor. Will Allen really move to Mile High City, or will some other franchise come in and scoop him up before the Broncos can make their move? Whatever does happen—the sky will remain the limit for Nix—Who has already defied critics through his not-so-rookie year.
