The Miami Dolphins-Tennessee Titans clash was a shocking sight, at least for the Dolphins fans. Apart from Tyreek Hill‘s disappointing performance, another bizarre moment unfolded at the Hard Rock Stadium. In the first quarter of the game, something dropped from the referee’s pocket and not-so-eagle-eyed fans made a fuss about the same.

As NFL cameras turned towards the ref, an interesting video is circulating the internet in the wake of this game. A post from MLFootball became the hot spot for fans who speculated that the referee might have dropped a “Wax/Weed Pen”. The whole thing might just be a hyperbole, but the internet has made it tenfold funnier than it originally was. The so-called claims now stand debunked.

The video from MLFootball’s X post was captioned, ‘WILD: #NFL fans are saying this ref dropped his “WAX/Weed Pen” on the field of the #Dolphins, #Titans game.’ The video depicted the ref dropping something from the pocket while picking up the ball. A bunch of fans tagged the instance as a suspicious drop. On the other hand, a logical section of fans rebutted the claims and mentioned that it was nothing but his whistle or a pen.

One fan wrote, “That’s his whistle”, while another one said, 😭 Bro got caught 4k”, and another one simply wrote, “Crazy”. Some fans came up with rubbish theories. One fan claimed, “Refs doing drugs during the game would be the least surprising thing to happen in NFL history.” Another wrote, “Refs doing drugs on the sidelines now we know why the bears always lose.” A Browns fan page commented, That might explain the calls this season.

The irony here is that Mike McDaniel, the Dolphins HC was actually caught vaping on the sidelines last year and later came on to the Pat McAfee show to clear the air and mentioned that he will not do it again because of the negative PR it gets to the team.
