The Buffalo Bills gained a noteworthy inclusion in the record books, last week. The game against the Pittsburgh Steelers became the first one to be postponed in 8 years. Now with the reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs set to visit, what kind of weather and conditions can be expected at the Highmark Stadium?

Though snowfall and cold weather are part of the alluring nature of the NFL playoffs. Last week during the wild card game, this set every fan into a frenzy as the game from Orchard Park was delayed by a day. So, what can be expected this time around?

The Buffalo Bills love some snow

The temperature for this AFC divisional playoff game is set to freezing once again. The conditions throughout the game are expected to be cloudy. With temperatures around 18 degrees, that will drop as the game progresses into the evening. And the snow is set to make a comeback as well.

Last week the Bills had employed hundreds of volunteers to shovel the snow from the pitch and the seats. For the game against the Chiefs, they have already started the process of shoveling.

Even though the expected snowfall on game day is predicted to be less than 1 inch. Heavy snowfall will be seen during the buildup of the game. However, the Bills will not have a clear-cut advantage in the snow for this game. Since the Chiefs are used to cold conditions, but per stats they are not used to the Bills.

The Bills and the Chiefs have a storied history

The Chiefs and the Bills have met each other on 55 different occasions, with the series in favor of the Bills 29-24-1. The first one was before the incorporation of the NFL when the Chiefs weren’t even known as the Chiefs in 1960. And this week their clash will be decide which team goes on to play for the AFC championship.

Both teams have within their roster, highly qualified players. But the Bills have a mental advantage of defeating the Chiefs in the regular season 20-17, along with the home-field advantage.
