Home/NFL

Both the Bills and Lions are having simply sensational seasons in their respective divisions. The Lions, who are set to welcome the high-flying Bills at home, are 12-1 for the season. As for the Bills, they are coming off a heartbreaking loss against the Rams, where their QB, Josh Allen, delivered an MVP-esque performance. Considering the way both teams are playing this season, some are already calling this game a potential Super Bowl LIX preview for February.

So, it doesn’t really surprise us that CBS is going all in to hype this clash in Detroit. They have chosen their star broadcasting crew, Jim Nantz and Tony Romo, as commentators. Nantz (play-by-play) and Romo (analyst) will keep you on edge with their play-calling on Sunday. Well, the CBS network hasn’t stopped there.

They will be live for their CBS morning pregame show, The NFL Today, starting Sunday morning. Although the game would be a late afternoon kickoff, CBS is not leaving any stone unturned. Matt Ryan, Bill Cowher, James Brown, and J.J. Watt will all be live from Motor City. Then you can also catch CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones breaking any news that comes along the way.

And that’s not where CBS ends their pregame show. You can also catch former Lions WR Nate Burleson in the NFL Today panel with his breakdown of the game.

Calling the winner of this clash is almost impossible. However, the Lions could have an edge because of the Detroit crowd rallying their team on Sunday afternoon. So, taking a quick preview of the game could maybe help you guess the winner on Sunday.

Detroit Lions welcome Josh Allen’s Bills in Detroit

When Josh Allen couldn’t get his team over the line even after scoring an NFL record 6 TDs ( 3 passing and 3 rushing). He was visibly upset in his thoughts after the game, “You saw a team that’s fighting for their lives to make the playoffs in the Los Angeles Rams, and they came out ready to play. And maybe we didn’t have that type of urgency.” That was the Bills’ first loss in an eight-game winning streak they had before the Rams game. As for the Bills, they can’t be that leaky on the defense against a Lions side that knows how to get their 4th down conversations.

With the clock ticking in Detroit last week, Lions coach Dan Campbell went in for a fourth-and-inches. Although that was a risky move within the Packers‘ 21-yard line, it certainly paid off. The Lions went on to score a game-winning 35-yard field goal through Jake Bates to win 34-31. So when it came to praising the Dan Campbell Bills DC, Joe Brady didn’t mince his words, “He’s as real as it gets. He’s an incredible coach incredible teacher. No shock in the world to see the success he’s had there.”

Even the man of the hour, Campbell himself, is excited about the Bills match-up: “There’s no place you’d rather be than playing this type of football, this type of team, in December.” Now, only time will tell who will come out on top in Detroit, as both teams have enough firepower on their side to change the game anytime on Sunday.
