The Aaron Rodgers-led New York Jets need to pull up their socks on Monday. It’s a must-win situation for them as they host the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium. The stakes are high, and they can’t afford a fumble here. Besides that, do they need to please the Rain Gods as well? It seems like a valid question.
The Jets are trailing with a 2-3 record through Week 5. This is also their first game since coach Robert Saleh’s departure. Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich will need his team to put their best foot forward. Amidst the rush, the weatherman has some happy news for all.

The weather seems to be tricky before the Week 6 matchup. This is the Buffalo Bills’ second Monday night game, and they don’t want it spoiled by Mother Nature. New Jersey experienced some morning showers, but there’s good news. According to the National Weather Forecast, game temperatures at MetLife Stadium will be in the low 50s with mostly clear skies. Cloud cover is predicted to be 21%, which will scatter too.
It seems like it will be a breezy day for fans to enjoy an exciting matchup. Wind gusts of 22 mph could play a factor, affecting long throws. Not just that—the gusts can cut short the average field goal distance by about 7 yards, dropping the conversion rate by 6%. But the good thing is, there’s barely any chance of rain. Aaron Rodgers and his team would be content with such weather conditions.

The Gang Green have too much on their hands. They lost badly (23-17) against the Vikings in their London outing. After that, they fired their HC Robert Saleh. Also, their QB Aaron Rodgers injured his ankle. He didn’t practice the whole week. Straight from the horse’s mouth, A-Rod is off the injury report just before the game. Talking to the media before the game, Ulbrich said, “He’s looked really good. He’s a magician as far as the work he puts into his body and all the [regeneration] and all the everything. He looks like Aaron, which is a fantastic thing, as we all know.” The fans can take a sigh of relief.
The visitors have their own demons. The Bills are currently in a hole. They built momentum after registering three wins in a row. First, they mauled the Cardinals (34-28), then crushed the Dolphins by 31-10 and the Jaguars by 47-10. But they crashed badly against the Ravens, who ravaged them 35-10. In Week 5, they came close to riding the victory wagon against the Texans but missed by a whisker (23-20). A matchup against a team like the New York Jets, who are 2-3, can really help them to beef up.
The Bills have something to cheer too. This will mark their QB Josh Allen‘s 100th career game. He is having a terrific season. He is 1st in terms of having the fewest interceptions by Week 5. Allen has no interceptions so far, but yes, he has 8 TDs. In 99 games so far, he has started in 98. The only game where he was not the QB1 was his debut game, on Sep 9, 2018, against the Baltimore Ravens.
