There will be no brotherly union by the Bay! In the first week of March, the Los Angeles Chargers released edge rusher Joey Bosa due to salary-cap reasons. With his exit from the Bolts, it was speculated that the 49ers might sign him. Especially because the Niners already have one Bosa. But the destination had some other plans for the older one. Last week, it was confirmed that the Buffalo Bills are signing the 29-year-old defensive end. So, how’s the vibe there?

Good. Nice. Perfect. Joey Bosa had a heartwarming welcome at the Bills’s facility. The franchise’s legend, Andre Reed, shared a video story on his official Instagram account, showing the fans the fresh reaction of Bosa on his first day in Buffalo.

In the featured story, Joey Bosa is seen checking out his new gear-his jersey, hat, and even the pen he’s signing with. Holding up the blue jersey with “BOSA” on the back, he inspects the fabric and color before simply stating, “Good jersey.” Next, he picks up the hat, gives it a look, puts it on, and nods, “Good hat.” Finally, as he signs the contract, he tests the pen and casually remarks, “Mmm, good pen.”

Maybe the pen was just that smooth—or maybe it was the excitement of his new home. Sharing the video, Reed reacted perfectly with a simple caption: “Bosa(accompanied by eyes and thumbs-up emojis), appreciating Joey Bosa’s wholesome reaction.

Five-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Joey Bosa has signed to a one-year deal with the Bills for $12.6 million. With this new chapter of his life, the former Chargers are determined to try something new and help put Buffalo in the historic season. When asked how he is feeling, the athlete responded, “Just something different. It’s been nine years [with the Chargers], which I’m really thankful for my career and how it’s played out. But I’m ready to experience something different. I’m getting old and I’m ready to win. And I think this team is primed to do that, and I’m just excited to join a winning culture.”

Last year, in 14 games, Joey Bosa recorded 17 tackles, 5 assists, 16 solo and 5 sacks. Despite being a solid player, he had to leave Jim Harbaugh’s team due to the salary cap issues. Nevertheless, despite leaving a good team, he has eventually landed to an arguably better team, who lost the divisional round last year. But the newly-minted DE of Buffalo is determined to help the team win.

In fact, not only Joey Bosa, but quarterback Josh Allen, is also excited to have him on the roster. During an interview, the MVP praised the new member of the team, by saying, “That was a pretty cool signing. He’s gotten to me a couple times in my career. I’m glad we don’t have to play against him now and focus on chipping him and getting help over there for our tackles. But he’s a stud, he’s proved that he can play at the top of the level, at the highest of the highs. So looking forward to him coming in and making an impact for our defense.

The Bills’s quarterback Josh Allen is definitely excited to have Joey Bosa on his team. And this is understandable, because the QB sent a message to Bosa early when the signing was confirmed. He said, via Bosa, “if we do what we set out to do, we could really be immortalized in this town.” It remains to be seen how the DE will perform in 2025 wearing a new gear. Until then, the franchise is happy to celebrate Bosa’s arrival and Josh Allen’s MVP award!

Although Nick Bosa liked his new Bills’s routine gear, Josh Allen has something else to offer to his fans. This past season, the QB wasn’t able to bring the Super Bowl laurels for his town. But he made sure, with his 15-5 record and 3,731 yards for 28 touchdowns, he brought his first NFL MVP trophy to the city. And now, to celebrate the achievement, the franchise has planned something great!
