Is Andy Reid's leadership the secret sauce behind the Chiefs' unstoppable run?

The Chiefs didn’t let the 49ers take revenge. They emerged victorious with 28-18. However, the win wasn’t easy. They had to toil hard. The pressure was visible on Andy Reid’s face, too. Now, advice has come from one of the greats for the coach.

Bill Belichick appeared on week 8 of the Let’s Go podcast and praised the Chiefs. He said, “You look at the situation they dealt with yesterday, in the receiver position where they had injuries going into the game. I mean that’s really challenging for the coach, for the quarterback. Once everything comes back to normal, there’s a lot of room for improvement.

Andy Reid’s team is struggling with many wide receivers injured. Their first-string wide receivers, Rashee Rice, Isiah Pacheco, and Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown, are on the injured reserve list. However, the coach and the quarterback are using innovative tactics to win.

In the second quarter, they had a trick play that bamboozled the Chiefdom and the Niners. Both Chiefs quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Carson Wentz, were there on the field. Running back Kareem Hunt and tight end Travis Kelce also lined up behind the O-line. It made the 49ers defense puzzled about the play.

That’s one of the tricks they are using. The second thing the team is focused on is packing up their team with other quality players who can help them in their pursuit of a 3-peat. They traded in JuJu Smith-Schuster from Bill Belichick’s former team Patriots.

Andy Reid finds an improvement in the Chiefs after the 49ers win

One thing that everyone was questioning in the Chiefs offense was their red zone conversion. However, it was a complete turnaround in the week 7 game. They made it to the red zone 5 times against the 49ers and scored on 4 of them. This has earned the coach’s respect.

While talking about the win and his team’s performance, Andy Reid said, “Eventually guys will start coming back. But the thing I appreciate the most are guys stepping up and then the other guys trusting them to step up and believing in them.” That’s right! The players are giving their 100%.

Another silver lining was the MVP Patrick Mahomes. He had 16 of 27 passes with 154 yards and aided his players well to score touchdowns. RB Hunt used the opportunity well and scored 2 touchdowns in 22 rushes with 78 yards. The Chiefdom is elated.

This is the second time they crushed the Niners Empire this year. If they now win 50% of their remaining games, they will still qualify for the playoffs. Andy Reid must be assessing his options and players who want to create history. The season is getting exciting.
