Ladies and gentlemen, Tom Brady is about to be roasted! “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady will be LIVE on Netflix on May 5 at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT.” However, that’s not the only news. Rumors are flying around that Bill Belichick will also join a lineup of comedians to crack jokes at the expense of Tom Brady. NFL Rumors revealed some bytes about the same.

“Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will also join others in a star-studded lineup of ex-Patriots to roast Tom Brady in an upcoming Netflix special,” said the post on X. Though things seem on friendly terms right now, people are still fixated on the documentary and what Tom Brady had to say about his relationship with Belichick.

“Me and coach Belichick, we did what we loved and competed for 20 years together,” Brady said. “But I wasn’t going to sign another contract (in New England) even if I wanted to play until (I was) 50. Based on how things had gone, I wasn’t going to sign up for more of it,” said Brady in the Dynasty documentary.

But Brady being morose about the relationship stemmed from a couple of other things as well.

How things got bitter towards the end

A lot of Brady’s teammates like Rob Gronkowski, Matthew Slater, and Wes Welker could attest to the fact that Brady was treated “brutally” by Bill Belichick. Also, things reportedly took a turn for worse when the New England Patriots decided to draft Jimmy Garoppolo to the Patriots. The Pats traded Jimmy G in the middle of the 2017 season and gave Brady a 2-year $70 million deal but couldn’t franchise tag the veteran QB.

Their stint ended in 2019 and Brady decided to pack his bags and leave for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But all’s well that ends well. “I could never have been the player I was without you Coach Belichick,” Brady wrote in an Instagram post at the time. “I am forever grateful. And I wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose next.”
