The Washington Commanders finally have a Head Coach! After a four-year stint with the squad, Ron Rivera was finally shown the door. After a 4-13 record, heads had to roll. And the new owner, Josh Harris, had decided Rivera should be the first to go. They had been head-hunting for new coaches. Even trying to woo Bill Belichick. But the final person selected for the job was someone else entirely.

So, how has his run been in the NFL? And will he make the Commanders’ squad regret choosing him over the likes of Belichick and Vrabel?

Dan Quin of the Dallas Cowboys is in for a major promotion! From DC to HC. The only caveat? He’ll be moving from a 12-5 team to a 4-13 team. But that’s where the opportunity lies. He needs to turn around the team’s fortune. Guess he can take pride because he was chosen over stalwarts such as Belichick, Mike Vrabel, and Pete Carroll.

Most analysts were 100% sure that Belichick would bag the job. But alas, he still needs to find a new home. Cowboys fans were up in arms when they learned that Dan Quinn had been let go. As Dan Quinn joins the Commanders, what has his track record been? Can he be the panacea that they had hoped for?

Dan Quinn’s track record

Quinn’s coaching history is solid. He led the Atlanta Falcons from 2015-2020, helping them soar to a 43-42 record and clinch a spot in the playoffs. Plus, his stint with the Cowboys saw them hitting the postseason three times in a row. Reporter Albert Breer had pointed out his knack for building a winning team culture and snagging top-notch coaching talent.

But here’s the interesting part. Quinn’s past collaboration with offensive genius Kyle Shanahan. He’s now rocking it as the head coach for the San Francisco 49ers, is turning heads. Back in Atlanta, they cooked up success together, winning the NFC and even snagging a MVP award for quarterback Matt Ryan. Now, Washington has a shot at picking up a top quarterback in the draft, and Quinn’s connection with Shanahan could be a game-changer.

And let’s not forget the drama. Quinn’s defense in Dallas had to face off against Shanahan’s offensive wizardry. So, if Quinn gets the nod for Washington, there’s a solid chance we’ll see some Shanahan-inspired offensive magic on the field!
