Big Ten Announces Major Award for Russell Wilson as Ciara Confirms Partnership With Popular Brand

Russell Wilson and his family have yet another significant off-field milestone to rejoice about! Steelers’ standout QB continues to astonish his fans with his spectacular performance this season. Since he positioned back himself as the starting QB for Pittsburgh, he has astoundingly thrown 10 touchdowns in six starts. Additionally, he led the Steelers (9-3) to a 44-38 win against Cincinnati in the Week 13 game on Dec 1. Besides his magnificent on-field performance, the NFL SB champ also drew attention to his biggest Big Ten Conference honor. His latest achievement truly solidifies his status in the high-stakes of the football world.

Recently, the Big Ten thrilled NFL fans with a major declaration. On Tuesday, the conference officially released that nine times Pro Bowler will receive the Big Ten’s Ford-Kinnick Award this year. even, the Wisconsin football team also confirmed the same by dropping a tweet on their X handle.  “Making a difference off the field 🙌 Russell Wilson is the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐝-𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 recipient!” they captioned their post.

With this announcement, he became the 3rd former Wisconsin player to achieve this prestigious honor since its beginning in 2011. Before him, Troy Vincent, ex-NFL and former Wisconsin–Madison also received this award in 2017. Another Wisconsin alum, Pat Richter who is also an ex-Washington Redskins player, achieved this accomplishment in 2021.

Does this constitute a significant milestone in his career? Well, yes. The Steelers QB received this honor for his impressive records during his short Wisconsin college career.

During his short Wisconsin days, the ex-Seahawks QB earned the nomination for the Griese-Brees Big Ten Quarterback of the Year award in 2011. By passing 9 TDs, NFL star QB, flawlessly led his team, Badgers to the Big Ten championship against the Michigan State football team. And, for his splendid winning performance, he received a nomination for first-team All-Big Ten that year.

Not only this,  Wilson, 36 also helped the Badgers in claiming the 42–39 triumph against  Spartans in the inaugural Big Ten Championship Game. And, of course, for his winning season, he also notched the Arthur Ashe Male Sports Scholar of the Year award in the same year.

In 2016, the ‘Level Up’ singer teamed up on her Bebe collection in a partnership with Bluestar Alliance, Bebe’s parent company. Even for this fashion alliance, the popular singer also expressed her adoration. “I have really enjoyed the process of working with Bebe and the Bluestar Alliance’s marketing and design teams,” she stated.

Besides this, Russell Wilson’s long-time partner also revealed her goal at the time she collaborated with this fashion brand. Ciara, 39 revealed that she partnered with a very clear vision of what she wanted to accomplish.

“It was to create an all-encompassing collection that reflects the best in design, fabric, silhouettes, and styles,” she continued. Ciara explained, “I presented mood boards and images of my go-to items,” She continued that the wardrobe pieces and nostalgia were the main sources of inspiration behind the Bebe collection designs.

Additionally, she also partnered with fashion and clothing retail companies like ‘Off-White‘ and ‘Limited Too‘ and others earlier. It indeed showcased Ciara’s significant involvement in the fashion industry.
