A miraculous return is still on the cards for someone who gave 15 years of his NFL career to the Philadelphia Eagles. Yeah, you might have already guessed whom we are talking about. Some of you may know him from his strip sack on Tom Brady in Super Bowl LII that paved the way for the Eagles to win their first Lombardi in franchise history. Brandon Graham, who has remained a devoted player for the Eagles, is racing against time to make himself available for his possible final hurrah at a Super Bowl.

Everything was moving in the right direction for Graham until week 11 arrived. In those 11 games, Graham had already racked up 3 1/2 sacks, 20 tackles, and 7 QB hits. It never really looked like the Eagles DE was playing his 15th season at age 36. However, against the Rams in Los Angeles, he ended up suffering a torn triceps. At first glance, it looked like he wouldn’t return until the next 4 months by the time the season would be over.

But somehow, Graham, against all odds, could soon be back on the gridiron. As per Lane Johnson, Graham was out there ‘flying around’ on Saturday’s practice session. This shows Graham is just not willing to watch his beloved Eagles come up against the Chiefs without him on the defense. Like the last time, he wasn’t able to make an impact when the Chiefs won Super Bowl LVII 38-35. So, this time, he isn’t backing down and is ready to push his body for a second shot at a Super Bowl.

Just two days back, Graham gave more positive updates on his involvement in New Orleans. On Thursday, he was captured participating in a few individual drills. And when he was asked to share his thoughts on a return date, Graham expressed, “It’s just a day-to-day thing. But I feel like I’ll be ready.” So, by the looks of it, it’s safe to say Brandon Graham could soon be back on the gridiron, turning around what was supposed to be a season-ending injury. However, will his return to Super Bowl LIX mark the last time Graham wears a Philadelphia jersey?

Will Brandon Graham retire before next season?

See, coming into his 15th season with the Eagles, this year was supposed to be Graham’s last on the gridiron. But the moment he suffered what looked like a season-ending torn triceps, questions started to arise about Graham’s retirement. And with all the chatter going on in the media about Graham’s future, Eagles DC Vin Fangio decided to set the record straight on the 36-year-old’s retirement. “He can’t retire on an incomplete year.” Even the Eagles’ veteran pass rusher was asked whether he would be back next season, “Just trying to process everything right now. If anything. If I was going to go out happy with the way I played today. I couldn’t have asked for nothing else.”

And those weren’t the only retirement talks that happened surrounding Graham. Just three weeks into the season, the Eagles DE teased that this could be his last season. “Honestly, I’m going to stay ready just for one more year. Just in case if a situation popped up where it’s like Ok, they need me… Either way. I’m going to be a part of whatever they’re doing next year.” So, the way everything is moving right now. First, Graham needs to return for the Super Bowl.
