Ever since Bill Belichick has given the hints of returning to the NFL, there have been many discussions about his future. There’s no confirmed news yet. But chances are that he will become an NFL coach next year. Here’s an update for you about his rumored destination.
Discussing the legendary coach’s NFL future, two teams came up prominently in the SPEAK Show on November 20, featuring Michael Irvin, Joy Taylor, Keyshawn Johnson, and Paul Pierce. The discussion started with Johnson claiming that the Jacksonville Jaguars would be the perfect team for him as their quarterback Trevor Lawrence needs fine-tuning. But Pierce disagreed.

He claimed if the QB was the main position for Bill Belichick, the Bengals would be the best franchise for him, as they have Joe Burrow. Pierce said, “I have a better idea. How about Bill? Let’s look at him for the Bengals. you said what he need a quarterback, right? What about the Bengal?” In 2024, 274 of 408 passes (67.2% completion rate) in 3,028 passing yards with 27 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. That’s remarkable. But the team is struggling with 3 wins & 7 losses. If the coach goes with the Bengals, it would be a problem for the Jaguars who are struggling with 2 wins and 9 losses.
That’s when Taylor brought Belichick’s past at the Patriots, particularly his final year. She claimed that the coach should not return to the NFL, considering his terrible 4-13 win-loss record at the Patriots in 2023. But at the time, Tom Brady wasn’t there. Many other winners he had, like Rob Gronkowski had also retired or left. However, the record isn’t justified. He was in full control there.
While the analysts were discussing, rumors of the coach talking with the Cowboys management were also spreading everywhere.

The 3rd option for Bill Belichick
While the race is between the Bengals and the Jaguars, a 3rd front has also opened up. And that is also a very suitable option. Dallas Cowboys! They are struggling with the 3-7 record. And Jerry Jones has also said that he wouldn’t fire Mike McCarthy in the middle of the season.
However, is there a hidden meaning there? The season is going downhill for the America’s Team. If it continues in the same fashion, then Jones could bring Bill Belichick to the team. It would be legendary for sure. They want to end the 3-decade drought of the Super Bowl. Being the record holder of 6 Super Bowls, he would be their biggest bet, and present the best chance of winning the Trophy.
