In stark contrast, Purdy presents a narrative of modest beginnings and unexpected ascent. He was selected last in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Purdy is playing with a four-year, $3.74 million rookie contract that reflects his underdog status. Despite being the 64th highest-paid quarterback based on average annual value, Purdy has proven to be a valuable asset. Both quarterbacks have brought their teams to the final standings.
