Allen told the media, “Obviously, a lot of moving parts but didn’t do too much today. Just taking it easy and making sure I’m putting myself in the best position for Sunday and making sure that I’m not sore. So, didn’t throw a lot today and hopefully by tomorrow, we’ll be on the field like nothing happened.” Allen believes that he’ll be up and about before the Sunday Night Live matchup at Paycor Stadium.

Allen had injured his throwing shoulder in the win over the Giants in Week 6. But he played in all the games, although he frequently showed up on the injury report. Allen had the shoulder examined during the Bucs game and but did not miss any play. Hopefully, he has gotten the time and care he needs for the big game on Sunday.

“Obviously, unfortunate when it’s your throwing shoulder,” Allen said. “Obviously, I hate not practicing, I hate not being involved in what we’re doing, but at the same time I know this is probably what’s best and putting myself in the best situation to make sure that I’m ready to go tomorrow and for Sunday.” But his shoulder has been a recurring injury and fans are unsure if it is hurting his performance.

The numbers, however, tell a different story. He put up an impressive show this season, recording 31 pass completions out of 40 for 324 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 interception. He also set a career record by getting out the ball in 2.27 seconds after being snapped. The play-callers are making a conscious decision to limit Allen’s running to reduce the number of hits he takes. Now it is down to 4.5 from 7.1, which was his average over the first five seasons of his career.

Joe Burrow, on the other hand, has recorded 10 TDs, 4 interceptions but has a pass completion rate of 66.3%. If Josh Allen does make it to the Sunday game, it’ll be interesting to see how it pans out. What are your thoughts on the matter?
