In Week 9 of the NFL, the Buffalo Bills are going to face off against the Cincinnati Bengals. Both teams are playing a very competitive game. The Bengals are 4-3 in the league, whereas the Bills are 5-3 in the game. For NFL fans, this is going to be a much-anticipated game, as the Bengals’ Joe Burrow and the Bills’ Josh Allen are set to go head-to-head.

However, according to the latest injury report from the Bills, this may not happen. Star QB Allen did not practice on Wednesday due to a shoulder injury. This is a significant setback for the Bills, as he is their main match winner.

The Bills were looking forward to their battle against the Bengals, but it seems like their expectations are going to be crushed, as Allen was a DNP on Wednesday. He has been suffering from a right shoulder injury since week 7, but this is the first time he did not participate in the practice session.

Regarding other players on the injury report, Rasul Douglas (CB) was mentioned as ‘just got here.’ On Tuesday, Douglas was transferred from the Green Bay Packers, so there is a very low possibility that he will play in Sunday’s game. Baylon Spector (LB), who is suffering from a hamstring injury, and Kaiir Elam (CB), with an ankle injury, were mentioned as DNP, while Quintin Morris (TE), suffering from an ankle injury, was limited. Damer Hamlin (SAF) was a DNP due to illness.

As for the Bengals, their defensive end Trey Hendrickson, who is suffering from a foot injury, was expected to be on the field on Sunday, but he did not participate in Wednesday’s practice session. It is not yet clear whether he will play in Sunday’s game or not. Josh Tupou (DT), who is suffering from shoulder injuries, and Tycen Anderson (SAF), struggling with his knee, were DNP on Wednesday. Joe Mixon (RB), with a chest injury, had limited participation. Orlando Brown Jr. (OT) is going through a groin injury and was limited. Also, Akeem Davis-Gaither (LB), suffering from a knee injury, made his return to practice, with limited participation.

How will Allen’s absence impact the Bills’ game?

It is not clear whether Allen will play in Sunday’s game. But if he does not, it would be difficult for the Bills to win. He is listed as questionable due to an injury that occurred in Week 6 of the NFL, so the motive behind putting him on the injury report is not clear. However, he is a player that the Bills cannot afford to be without for Sunday’s game.

Regarding his injury status, Allen told the media, ?Obviously, a lot of moving parts but didn?t do too much today. Just taking it easy and making sure I?m putting myself in the best position for Sunday and making sure that I?m not sore. So, didn?t throw a lot today and hopefully by tomorrow, we?ll be on the field like nothing happened.?

At the same time, his counterpart, Bengals QB Joe Burrow, is perfectly fit and has shown outstanding performances in the last two games. This season, he has recorded 10 touchdowns and 4 interceptions with a 66.3% pass completion rate. There is no doubt that Burrow is going to be a key player for the Bengals. It will be interesting to see if Allen returns to the field on Sunday and, if he does, how the rivalry between Burrow and him will pan out.
