There’s ongoing drama in the Denver Broncos camp. Each new day brings us something new. As the decision to bench the star QB Russell Wilson was made public, uproars started. Even at the press conference, HC Sean Payton was hounded with questions about the QB. And now Wilson has taken a different route.

It was the blockbuster trade of 2022, as Wilson was transferred from the Seattle Seahawks to the Broncos. Earlier, HC Payton defended his move of benching Wilson in favor of Jarrett Stidham. “We’re desperately trying to win”, said Payton, referring to their uphill battle for the playoffs. But Wilson shared a life lesson about the incompatibility of anxiety and gratitude on his social media. “Gratitude… Gratitude, anxiety, and worry can’t exist at the same time. Not simultaneously.“, he wrote.

Wilson posted a highlight reel from the Week 16 game against the New England Patriots. A game in which the Broncos lost 23-26. But the video shows that the fault does not lie with Wilson. And his stats show the same picture.

And his guidance and leadership cannot be doubted. So in his forced absence, can the Broncos even get to the playoffs?

The Broncos desire playoffs

When asked the reasoning to bench Wilson, HC Payton said, “To get a spark offensively”. And there is no doubt that the Broncos need a spark to make it through the playoffs. Currently, they have only a 7% chance, a win would take them to 12%. But that still won’t be enough.
