The former Nose Tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles is excited about the developments at his old team. Beau Allen is waiting eagerly for the new signing Bryce Huff teaming up with the new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. What makes this a powerful duo, according to Allen?

Huff’s free agency ended recently as he signed a massive contract worth $51.1 million with the Eagles. The former New York Jets linebacker is primed to thrive with the Eagles. And Super Bowl winner Allen believes, the DC Fangio to be the reason for it!

Huff was an undrafted free agent in 2020 when the Jets scooped him up. However, both parties could not come to a deal and Huff explored free agency once again, this time signing with the Eagles. The 32-year-old Allen was joined by his former O-Line teammate Jason Kelce on his podcast ‘New Heights,’ where Allen couldn’t stop himself from hyping up Huff!

“I think Bryce Huff is going to be a great fit for the Eagles in 2024”, said Allen on the podcast. He also mentioned the reasoning behind this prediction. Since Allen and Kelce, both have previously worked with DC Fangio, they know his system and Allen thinks Huff will excel under him.

“I think in Fangio’s scheme as you know an outside linebacker set that edge, he will excel in the you know run defending role there”, said Allen. And Kelce agreed with the assessment for the 25-year-old. Apart from the joining of Huff, the former Eagles players are also excited about the return of Fangio!

Vic Fangio comes back to the Eagles

Fangio joined the Eagles coaching department as a defensive consultant in 2022. The 65-year-old was brought on for his expertise to win the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs. The expectations were that he would be awarded the position of defensive coordinator at the Eagles.

However, the Miami Dolphins signed the defensive mastermind before the Eagles could. After the sacking of Sean Desai from the DC post, earlier this year. Fangio was the clear choice to succeed him and the Eagles’ management did not falter this time around.
