Did Tyrique Stevenson's taunting cost the Bears their winning streak with that shocking Hail Mary?

The Chicago Bears fans saw karma unfold right in from of their eyes. It is as mystical as it sounds. Tyrique Stevenson was taunting the Commanders before Jayden Daniels threw that game-winning Hail Mary in the last seconds of the game. Turns out, the DB learned an important lesson tonight and was quick to realize his mistake.

Stevenson was turned up in the final seconds of the game and was trying to cheer the Bears fans on. He then realized that Jayden Daniels was trying to buy some time to eventually launch a pass to the end zone. To Stevenson’s dismay, Daniels pulled off a miracle, and that made the Bears DB take to X and express his feelings about the loss.

“To Chicago and teammates my apologies for lack of awareness and focus …. The game ain’t over until zeros hit the clock. Can’t take anything for granted. Notes were taken, improvement will happen,” Stevenson’s post on X said.

With that, the Bears’ 3 game-win streak ended tonight. The DB, who scored a 4-year $6.4 million deal last year, came out with 9 total tackles and defended a pass. The Chicago team couldn’t do anything till the start of the third quarter and were trailing 12-0. But then D’Andre Swift did something amazing and channeled his inner Devin Hester on a 55-yard touchdown run.

That got the Bears back in the game as they trailed 12-7. Then, in the beginning of the last quarter, Roschon Johnson’s one-yard TD run put the Bears in the lead with just 25 seconds left in the game.

Have an interesting take?

Caleb Williams and his Bears have been dominant in the last 3 games they’ve played against the Rams, the Panthers, and the Jaguars. They thought they’d keep it that way. However, Jayden Daniels had something else in mind.

Jayden Daniels does the impossible and stops Caleb Williams’s run

The Northwest Stadium went crazy when Jayden Daniels threw that 52-yard Hail Mary to Noah Brown. Actually, it might not have been intended for Noah Brown in the first place. The moment happened right after Tyrique Stevenson taunted the Commanders fans and they realized Daniels had launched the ball.

The play began with just 2 seconds remaining on the clock. Daniels scrambled to the right, then scrambled to the left. He waited and then threw the ball to the end zone hoping it would land in one of the Commanders’ hands.

The crazy thing is, Stevenson realized what was happening, went back to try to defend, and then tipped the ball into Noah Brown’s hands. Maybe if he didn’t touch the ball, it would have deflected some other way. We could see the excitement on Dan Quinn’s face when he threw his headset away.

With that, the Bears have slipped to 4-3 while the Washington Commanders are up by 6-2. Jayden Daniels had a once-in-a-lifetime game as he came out with 326 yards and a touchdown. Astonishingly, that was also the only touchdown he threw in the game! That moment was nothing short of a movie for Jayden Daniels.

“I just heard people screaming and our sideline rushing the field. That’s how I knew,” Daniels said.  “That’s kind of like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Not too many people get to experience stuff like that.”

Now the Commanders will be travelling to New York to play against the Giants but that game should be a cakewalk for Jayden Daniels. As for Caleb Williams, his 131-yard, no-touchdown performance isn’t helping him chase his playoff dreams.
