A picture of Antonio Brown throwing deuces reminds people of just one thing: the infamous game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Jets when the receiver took off and left the field in the middle of the game. Now, he’s asking people to take notes and apply that same philosophy to their lives, but it has a twist.
Brown is in the Labor Day spirit and is asking everyone to not limit the celebration to just one day. He took to X and shared a meme that would put a smile on your face. He wished everyone a “Happy Labor Day” with a meme of himself that said, “Every day is a halfday if you just f–king leave,” and it was signed with Antonio Brown’s name.
Brown did the same in the 2021 season when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers went against the New York Jets. However, he had his reasons. The footage of Brown waving at everyone, throwing deuces, and eventually leaving the field was probably one of the most iconic moments in the NFL.

Brown was reported forced to play on an injured ankle that would have required surgery otherwise. He was sitting on the sidelines when the former Bucs HC Bruce Airans started yelling at him for not playing. “YOU’RE DONE!” was Airans’ reply to Brown, who knew he couldn’t help the team win on a bruised and battered ankle.
“I took a seat on the sideline and my coach came up to me, very upset, and shouted, ‘What’s wrong with you? What’s wrong with you?’ I told him, ‘It’s my ankle.’ But he knew that. It was well-documented, and we had discussed it,” Brown said. “He then ordered me to get on the field. I said, ‘Coach, I can’t.’ He didn’t call for medical attention. Instead, he shouted at me, ‘YOU’RE DONE!’ while he ran his finger across his throat. Coach was telling me that if I didn’t play hurt, then I was done with the Bucs.”
An MRI report later revealed that Brown had several broken bone fragments, a torn ligament, and a cartilage loss in the ankle. In hindsight, Brown took the right course of action because his injury could have come out much worse. The Bucs were losing 10-24 to the Jets at the time AB took off. However, they managed to bounce back and win the game 28-24.

Antonio also accused the Bucs of making things worse by justifying his behavior as “mental health issues,” when it was clearly a proven physical injury. During his time in the NFL, he’s had his fair share of controversies. Unfortunately, that also transcends into his personal life.

Antonio Brown ‘restructured’ his money
Brown became a source of controversy once again after he filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Some legal documents disclosed that Brown owes about $3 million to a total of eight creditors, with only about $50k in assets. However, the venerated receiver knows what he’s doing and explained his reasoning on The Pivot podcast.

Brown implied that he’s not “broke” and defined his condition as “fractured.” He later revealed, “You know, at this point, I don’t work. I don’t make millions of dollars where it’s coming in where I could just [pay] someone that money. So, you know, Chapter 11 is about restructuring the money you’re making so you can take care of the debt.”
