While eyes remain on who misses out on the crucial game, this battle will also decide whether Brock Purdy and Lamar Jackson will still be in the MVP race or not along with giving an insight into the probable fate of the two teams for the Super Bowl.
Are Brock Purdy and Lamar Jackson still in the MVP race?
On paper, Brock Purdy is way behind the likes of Tua Tagovailoa in terms of passing yards, but it takes more than numbers to clinch an MVP award. ESPN rates Purdy at no.4 on the QB ratings with the recent sub-par performances of Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott. For a while now, the whole internet has been on the ‘Purdy for MVP’ bandwagon.

However, other teams have proved their mettle and are attempting to continue pushing Purdy out of the race. So, to stay relevant in the race and become the MVP this season, Purdy has to win this game. Given the upcoming game, though, NFL analyst, Matt Okada, came forth with his prediction and expectations.
He added an element of comparison between Lamar Jackson and Brock Purdy, elaborating on a chance for the Ravens star to take his place in the MVP talks. Given a confident yet unanticipated comment, he said, “In an extremely tough matchup (and potential Super Bowl preview) with the 49ers, I predict Jackson pops off for 300 total yards and three total touchdowns to upset San Francisco and leapfrog Brock Purdy in the MVP race.”
