The Baltimore weather is set to give travelers a chilling welcome, as reports suggest. One of the windiest cities in the country, the Maryland football center will also be extremely cold during Sunday’s 4:30 PM kickoff. The temperature could drop to as low as 37° Fahrenheit or 2.8° Celcius, and winds could reach up to 15 mph, reportedly.

The poor weather conditions could make the already tough game impossible to win for the black and gold. However, it’s not the only deciding factor of the game. There are a couple of match-ups to watch out for. And looking at history, it does favor the Steelers. But that’s in the past, what about this weekend?
Ravens vs Steelers: history and crucial match-ups
Historically, the Steelers have been the greatest NFL sides ever, alongside the Patriots, with 6 rings to their name. They also possess a 34-25 (57.6%) all-time record over the 2x Super Bowl winners, including the playoffs. They further have a 2 game win streak over the AFC leaders. However, the scenario is entirely different. The visitors have to overcome quite a few challenges to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Without the service of a proper quarterback, cracking the Ravens’ 57-sack defense will be the biggest challenge for the Steelers. Even if they did it, next comes handling their own defense for the Tyler Huntley-led offense. The offensive lineman group of the Ravens won’t make the work simpler either for the away side. Lastly, the home side is used to playing in the windy Baltimore weather, but the Steelers – not so much.
