This brought the Texans’ points from 3 to 10 against the Ravens, equaling the scoreboard. Notably, Sims had just been signed off the practice squad earlier this week. This, however, marked the first punt return touchdown in the NFL postseason in over a decade, with the last one recorded by Trindon Holliday, again versus Baltimore, in January 2013.
Sims’ name will surely be written in the NFL’s history book, and he will likely continue to make it to the roster list again next time. As he has experienced his own ups and downs while earning a spot in the team’s roster.
The tumultuous journey to the roster!
Steven Sims is not accustomed to being in the spotlight; rather, he’s familiar with the fluctuations of moving between the Texans’ practice squad and the active roster. Initially cut at the end of the preseason, Sims was then reinstated to the practice squad. Throughout the season, he has been promoted from the practice to the active four times.

This pattern repeated on Tuesday, when the Texans elevated Sims from the practice group once again, a decision that must have pleased the team. Despite having only played in three games all season, Sims’ punt return touchdown contributions in this game, will definitely be valued by Houston.
