On Monday, Emily shared something that instantly had fans raising eyebrows—and no, we’re not talking about her emotional confession on moving to a new city or re-sharing a fan’s post praising Baker’s toughness. This one was different. This one was about her second child.

On Monday, Emily shared a story on her official Instagram handle and talked about her second child, which caught everyone’s attention. “This child is the easiest. In every way. Her sleep truly isn’t because of any parenting hacks, lol. Girl just loves her sleep! I just KNOW we will be humbled with our next one, ” she wrote in her story with a couple of laughing emojis.

Picture this: it’s 2 a.m., your baby’s been crying for what feels like forever, you’re running on zero sleep, and you’re aimlessly walking around the room and waiting for a miracle. That’s a total panic mode, right? But Emily? Nah, not in her case. She’s out there, calm and collected, because her girl actually sleeps through the night. No drama, just peace… for now. No wonder Emily would be relieved when the couple would expect their second child. The reason? Because their little girl, Kova Jade, sleeps like a rock.

After tying the knot back in 2019, the couple announced in December 2023 that they’re expecting their first child together. Fast forward to April 2024, and the couple welcomed their little girl. And now Baker, Emily, and Kova make a complete Mayfield household. And oh, they also have a dog.

While it’s too early to say about Baker and Emily’s second child, one thing’s for sure. Whenever that time comes, the couple’s going to welcome their second baby without losing their sleep over the late-night crying of Kova and it’s definitely going to strengthen their marriage even more!

The time when Baker Mayfield had a tough phase in his marriage

When we look at Baker Mayfield and Emily Wilkinson’s relationship, it all sounds like a fairy tale. And why not? Picture this: Emily met her future husband through a mutual friend. Her first thoughts? “Typical playboy athletes.” Yeah, just like that. But one thing led to another, a casual date turned into Baker inviting Emily to his games, and within six months, the couple got engaged, and later got married in a lavish wedding in July 2019. To make it a complete Mayfield family, the couple soon welcomed their first child.

That’s nothing less than a fairytale love story, right? Unfortunately, there’s a darker side as well. Last month, Christian Athletes dropped some eye-opening revelations on their X account about Baker Mayfield’s marriage. Baker himself confessed to the tough times in his marriage life with a message first, saying, “God taught me a lesson.” 

Then he added, “He had to take my career down to the studs and make me realize that I’m more than a football player. There’s much more going on than the game of football, and for me to see that, I had to hit rock bottom, and that was it. It wasn’t just football. It was in our marriage.” Following his heartbreaking confession, Baker talked about layers of his relationship, sharing, “We weren’t doing well at all. At this time, we were trying to have kids. Wasn’t going well. And so that was when we dove into PAO.”

That was the time when Baker had a pressure of professional uncertainty. To make things even worse, the couple was struggling to start their family. And it was then that they turned to faith. “But I remember a couple [of] years ago, we talked about…There’s that 99 percent of you…that you could put on the facade. As a guy you put on the mask. But behind closed doors, who are you really? What are you hiding? Are you being vulnerable? And until my career got stripped down, I was hiding a lot.”

Fast forward to now, and it’s safe to say the spiritual guidance absolutely helped the couple. After welcoming their first kid, the QB just had the best season of his career in 2024. By now, whether it’s about his family or his professional career, no wonder Baker Mayfield is growing on and off the field.
