Baker Mayfield‘s wholesome start to the holiday celebrations is winning hearts! The Buccaneers’ QB and his loving wife, Emily, took another philanthropic initiative through their Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation. Once again, they held their annual “Passing the Joy” holiday event to spread festive happiness and help those in need. This is yet another significant contribution to the Tampa community after their $17,900 contribution a few months ago.

Emily Mayfield took to her Instagram handle to share Buccaneer’s post on her story, highlighting some of the heartfelt moments from the event. The first of the clips captures the excitement of the kids as they see Baker Mayfield face-to-face, entering the hall.

The story tags the foundation, mentioning that they are “providing meals and gifts to nearly 100 children.” Emily followed Baker while holding their daughter Kova Jade Mayfield, whom the pair welcomed on April 9, 2024.

The Mayfields had established the “Passing the Joy” event five years ago, conducting it across cities that have close ties to Baker Mayfield’s NFL career. In 2023, they moved the event to Tampa Bay.

And, this year, the event was held on December 17, at Dream Center of Tampa, a nonprofit that is committed to community involvement in Tampa’s Ybor City. Almost 100 kids and families were a part of this celebration, as they received sumptuous meals, alongside gifts and games.

Many partners came together to collaborate with the “Passing the Joy” event to fund and facilitate it. Perry Homes, Hattricks Tavern, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Planet Fitness, and Fifth Third Bank were a major part of it.

One of the stories by Emily mentions, “after receiving the gifts, the kids will pass the joy to someone else with gift cards from @bemayfieldfoundation.

In the same story, one of the kids had a most heartwarming response to his gift, as Emily penned, “This sweet boy told me he was going to gift his $15 card to someone who was homeless,” in the true spirit of giving back. Indeed, the BE Mayfield Foundation brings the best or joy to people, including their previous 17.9k donation.

Mayfield’s $17.9k donation for young athletes’ safety

Back in September this year, the Mayfields made a massive donation of $17,900 to Cocoa Space Coast High School in Florida. The Mayfields intended the donation to provide the school’s football team with brand-new helmets and pads. It was to make sure that the athletes maintained proper safety in the fields.
