Giants fans may want to pump the brakes. It seems like they’ve been directing their anger in the wrong direction, and Micah Parsons ain’t holding back about it.
Jumping right into the drama, Parsons backed Jason Kelce in his defense of Saquon Barkley. Speaking out against how the Giants fans treated Barkley, the Big D’s star LB called the whole situation “the most outrageous thing I’ve ever seen in my life.” Per the 25-year-old, the blame isn’t on Barkley—it’s on the Giants’ front office. “Wake up and blame the GM,” he fired off, referring to the RB’s stalled contract negotiations.
Parsons went on to detail Barkley’s loyalty to the Giants, despite the management playing around with his money. “Saquon returned back, and he said he saw them burning his jerseys in the parking lot. What are Giants fans? Are y’all really this delusional?” Parsons’ passionate defense of Barkley called out the Giants’ handling of their RB, who was drafted second overall in 2018. After questioning the fan behavior, he set the record straight: “It is really not Saquon’s fault that he’s not backing New York. Point fingers at the GM. Did y’all not see the video where they said ‘we’re not sure if we wanna give them the money.’ The Giants were playing around with this man’s money, not allowing him to feed his family. It’s not his fault. Blame the management… Wake up and blame the GM.”

While Parsons was busy defending the 27-year-old, the former Philadelphia center Kelce had already weighed in with his own fiery tweet. He couldn’t understand why Giants fans were directing so much hate at Barkley instead of holding their team accountable. “For the life of me, I don’t understand why Giants fans hate Saquon for what happened, and not the Giants organization… They have absolutely no one to blame other than the Giants ownership and management decisions for why he is no longer a Giant,” Kelce tweeted, sympathizing with the RB’s situation.
Despite Kelce’s rationale, some Giants fans hit back hard. One fan fired off a harsh reply, calling Saquon Barkley’s decision to join the Eagles a “weak move” and arguing that he could’ve signed with a different team for success. But Kelce didn’t back down, pointing out that plenty of players switch NFC East teams. He maintained that the situation was largely a result of New York’s management’s decisions.
The two-time Pro Bowl RB’s departure to Philly this past March—announced via a cryptic two-eagle emoji post—has certainly stung New York fans. And after six seasons with the Giants, the Nittany Lions’ standout has continued to shine. Philadelphia offered him a three-year, $37.75M deal in the offseason.
As for Parsons, he’s not just a vocal supporter—he’s all business on-field.

Micah Parsons focused on championships over contract talks
Micah Parsons is playing it cool. Big D’s been busy locking down their top talents. CeeDee Lamb signed a four-year, $136M deal; Dak Prescott secured a $240M contract (making him the first player to average $60M per year). But Parsons has stayed focused on the bigger picture. The three-time Pro Bowl LB, despite being eligible for an extension, hasn’t pushed for one just yet.
In typical Parsons fashion, he couldn’t resist a little humor after Prescott’s massive deal. “Dak owed me a little bit of money,” the LB joked, showing nothing but excitement. Even with a base salary of $2.989M—pocket change compared to his actual value—Parsons said his priority was ensuring Lamb and Prescott got their well-deserved contracts first.

When asked about his own extension, he shrugged it off. “I just have to keep doing what I’m doing,” he explained, noting that he’s confident Dallas will eventually take care of him, just like they always do. For now, he’s focused on becoming the best version of himself, aiming for championships—not contract negotiations.
And if Micah Parsons keeps dominating, that big payday will come sooner rather than later.
