$600,000 or a dinner with Taylor Swift? While Chris Jones easily has the money, he missed a chance to have a dinner with the pop sensation. Not many people would want to miss that opportunity, but Jones “turned in,” as Rich Eisen dubbed it. The Chiefs are making the most noise in the AFC West, and it all started when Taylor Swift went to see the Chicago Bears get steamrolled by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Rich Eisen spoke to Jones on his podcast on YouTube. Chris Jones, being himself, gave a hilarious twist to the dinner offer from Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Despite being a Swifty, Chris Jones bailed out on the dinner and revealed his reasoning on the Rich Eisen Show.

Why would you do that, Chris Jones?

Eisen asked the DT if he’d met Taylor Swift, and he had a funny story about it. He mentioned that he hadn’t, but he added that he and the team first met her at his second game. Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift had invited everyone for dinner, and while most people won’t deny it, Jones did! Why? Because he was exhausted. He went straight to bed when he got home after the game.

“First time she came she invited us all to dinner, but I was so tired, it’s like my second game back and I was like I’m exhausted you know; I’m exhausted I went home and got in bed. But um I think when she comes this Monday, we’re gonna all go out so I’m looking forward to it,” Jones told Eisen.

He might have missed the opportunity now, but he might have more chances like these in the future.

Chris Jones knows there will be a next time

The banter continued, and Eisen playfully made it seem like Chris Jones had turned down the invitation. It was Travis Kelce who made the offer to take everyone to dinner, clarified Jones later. “I didn’t turn it down. I was too tired to go,” said Jones, taking a clever jab at the host. Per Eisen, this was a “yes or no,” but Jones, being tired, fell into a gray area.

To redeem himself, the three-time Pro Bowler admitted he is a Swifty and supports Taylor Swift fans. When Eisen asked Jones his favorite Swift song, he started singing a song he didn’t know the name of, putting himself in a shady spot. Eisen advised Jones to say “Karma” the next time anyone asked him the question, referring to Swift’s recent performance in which she said, “Karma is a guy on the Chiefs.”

Eisen tried to save Jones from trouble by adding to the banter, saying that their relationship was growing and that maybe Jones turned down the offer because there would be more opportunities like this in the future.

“I know she’ll be back, Travis Kelce, he’s a lovable guy, I know his Swifty moves is gonna get her to come back,” said Jones as he shared a laugh with Eisen.
