The Packers will host the Chiefs at Lambeau Field, Green Bay, on Sunday, December 3, at 8:20 p.m. ET. This matchup would be significant as the home team, with a 5-6 record, needs another win to stay competitive for a wildcard spot in the NFC. With an 8-3 record, the Chiefs have lost two games against teams from a different division. Despite this, they control their fate in the AFC, but winning the SNF is crucial for the franchise to stay in the race. Historically, for the first time, the Packers are hosting home games against the reigning SB champs in consecutive years.

Last season, they defeated the Los Angeles Rams at the same stadium. The rivalry between the franchises has played out 14 times, including one postseason game, with the Packers winning five and the Chiefs winning eight, with one tie. This game adds intrigue because of the Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who started his NFL career as a Packers’ assistant coach under Mike Holmgren in the 1990s and holds a 6-6 record against the Packers. However, on the side of the Packers’ coach, Matt LaFleur has never lost a December game and has an advantage in cold-weather matchups.
