On a Front Office Sports podcast, Ed McCaffrey, who played in the NFL for 13 years and won 2 Super Bowl Championships, agreed with most of what Brady had said. “But yeah, quarterbacks don’t have to protect him as much anymore. That’s a good thing.” But it seems QB Brock Purdy cares too much about his son to let him take the hits.

Christian McCaffrey has scored 16 TDs this season, and 5 of them were receiving TDs from Brock Purdy. More than Sturdy Purdy, McCaffrey has been their MVP. In the upcoming games as well, Purdy, who has a tendency to throw interceptions, must be protected, while McCaffrey should be allowed to run the ball.
