The Las Vegas Raiders’ interim head coach, Antonio Pierce, is being hailed after his massive victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. The division rivals went against each other in the crucial week 14 matchup and became a playground for varied achievements. The Chargers faced a harrowing defeat, and following this, HC Brandon Staley was fired.
The Raiders were resting at the bottom of the AFC West division, just below the Chargers. However, after this matchup, the positions got swapped. Following the Raiders’ promising victory after the matchup, Mike Florio hailed the team’s new HC for reviving the team after a struggling season.

Florio said, “See this is why we’re talking about Brandon Staley being fired and Antonio Pierce being hired last season. It’s over it’s done you’re playing out the string and you’re risking injury along the way. Antonio Pierce found a way to push the buttons on his guys to get them to show up and play their asses off and Brandon Staley didn’t. And I think that that is coupled with the fact that Mark Davis got it wrong.”
Moreover, Florio highlighted how Brandon Staley missed out on what Pierce inculcated in his coaching strategies. And his strategies were on point in the previous matchup against the Chargers.

Pierce taking the Raiders’ forward
Antonio Pierce’s Raiders dominated the Chargers in the first half. The halftime lead of 42-0 was the best in franchise history and second in NFL history. Moreover, the game ended at a score line of 63-21, with the Raiders clinching a memorable victory at their home stadium. Adding to the undesirable achievements, the Chargers lodged a franchise record of giving away 63 points in a single game.
After the coach Josh McDaniels got fired, Pierce made his debut as an HC against the New York Giants, and since then the Raiders won three of their six games. The game delivered everything an NFL enthusiast would want. Full of thrills and gridiron records! However, both these teams have little to no hopes for their playoff qualifications. Despite that, they will look forward to end the season on a positive note.
