AB is at it again—the most unserious guy just can’t stay quiet off the field. Whether it’s social media antics or stirring the pot, Antonio Brown always finds a way to stay in the spotlight. This time, he’s taking shots at Michael Irvin and Aaron Rodgers, just to live up to his reputation.

During the Week 5 clash between the Jets and Vikings, Brown shared a clip of A-Rod crawling in pain after a hit to the leg. He didn’t hold back, captioning it with, “Streets are calling this the Michael Irvin.” And you know he’s not losing any sleep over Rodgers’ injury. Nope, this is just AB being AB.

Now, why is he still throwing shade at Michael Irvin, you might ask? Well, AB’s the kind of guy who doesn’t let go of grudges easily. The beef started when Irvin questioned Tyreek Hill‘s decision to include Brown in his top five receivers.

That didn’t sit well with Brown, who unleashed a social media rant in December 2023, accusing Irvin of all sorts of things, from drug use to questioning his credentials. Brown didn’t appreciate what he saw as a “backhanded compliment” from Irvin, and he’s been taking shots ever since.

But here’s where it gets wild. Why bring Aaron Rodgers into it? Well, for AB, it’s just about grabbing the moment. With Rodgers already being a trending topic, Brown couldn’t resist a chance to poke fun. And let’s be real, after last season’s injury that sidelined the 40-year-old for the rest of the season, Gang Green‘s on edge whenever there’s talk of him going down.

In the middle of the Jets trailing 17-7, Rodgers got twisted up under some Vikings defenders. And it wasn’t a pretty sight. As for AB? He’ll probably keep throwing shade as long as the spotlight stays on him.

Meanwhile, the Jets could not quite spark the comeback they would have hoped for after their franchise QB returned. But, hey, at least A-Rod shook the scare off.

Aaron Rodgers fights the Vikings despite injury!

You would not be hearing the end of that Jets first quarter. Aaron Rodgers, out of all the people under the center, threw for three interceptions, yikes! We don’t talk about that. But what we talk about is that guy’s passion for the game. You can never seem to give up on him. No matter how deep in the trenches you are.

And the Gang Green did not. Their reward? A-Rod started clicking and cooking with Garrett Wilson. They linked up 22 times! All the while shrugging off an injury scare.

Despite a low ankle sprain that left everyone holding their breath, he gave a lesson in grit, finishing with 2 TDs. It’s like he told the Jets, “Hey, I’ve been through worse; let’s go!” Yeah, we know injuries are part of the game. But does that make it any easier to watch them? Nope.

Picture this: Rodgers’ left leg got folded up in a tackle. He was in pain, and seeing that makes our bones crackle a bit as well. But guess what? He charged right back! He finished with a ‘not so perfect’ stat sheet—29 completions on 54 attempts with a 53.7% completion rate—but all things considered, it was bound to take a little finesse.

And you should take the good things out of it, Gang. Like Wilson wrapping up the day with 13 catches for 101 yards and a touchdown, proving his chemistry with A-Rod is cooking. In the end, the Jets fell short, leaving them with a record that feels more like a bad snap. 2-3, Sigh! But there’s hope for Week 6, not just with Rodgers’ injury update. But also with some more of the chemistry and linking. Something’s brewing in New York. Hope it’s a classic deli and not a street-side cuppa.
