Antonio Brown allowing racial slurs—Is this the lowest point in his career?

Antonio Brown may have been released by the Raiders just six months after a high-profile trade in 2019, but his feud with the team didn’t affect his friendship with Maxx Crosby. Known for his controversies, Brown’s antics were highlighted again in a recently resurfaced story shared by an NFL reporter. Classic AB!

So, what happened was, according to Dov Kleinem on X, “Maxx Crosby says Antonio Brown gave him the N word pass way back in 2019 when AB was with the Raiders.” He said, “AB knows a valid cracker when he sees one.” In fact, Brown admitted that he was the one who let Crosby use that offensive word, even though it’s usually considered inappropriate for non-Black people to say.

Well, even Antonio Brown recently confirmed this on his official X account. He simply shared Kleinem’s post, and wrote, “True Story,” indicating that he himself allowed Crosby to say that N-word to him during his short stint with the Raiders. However, it’s not yet confirmed why Brown allowed Crosby to call him the racial slur, but many fans speculate that they both share a good bond; hence, the allowance.

It’s true that Maxx Crosby has used that word in the past, more than once, in his speeches. For instance, last year in November, after the team’s 3-5 record, nothing was going right for the Raiders. They fired their head coach and general manager. And hence, when the team was about to play their next game against the Giants, Crosby took to social media to encourage the Raiders’ nation to come support the team.

However, in the video, Crosby was about to accidentally slip the N word, and this resulted in a lot of social media users’ attention. Nevertheless, this time, Crosby was allowed to call the N-word to Antonio Brown by the former WR himself. And hearing this, the Raiders defensive end would be happy, as he has admitted his liking for Brown’s humor on X.
