Winning the Super Bowl in 2022, in 2023, and now contending in 2024, it looks like the Chiefs have just morphed into a whole different creature. That’s a three-peat attempt and the Chiefs have just come closer to engraving their names in the history of football. Teams have tried to achieve the three-peat eight times in NFL history, but none have been successful. But Andy Reid‘s team is on the verge of achieving it. As they move ahead towards the February 9 game to take on the Eagles flock that has landed in New Orleans, they must be aware of the latter’s league-leading capabilities. A fact that the HC and a star player have warned the locker room about.

The Chiefs center and offensive line star Creed Humphrey talked about potential threats from the Eagles team. The two-time Super Bowl champion Humphrey was on The Rich Eisen Show where he discussed the topic. The host asked, “What was Andy Reid’s message to the team?” And Creed said, “For us, we don’t have much left in the season. There are less than two weeks left in the season. So, sacrifice what you are willing to sacrifice to be able to put yourself in the best position. So, that’s kind of our big message right now.” Humphrey added, “Let’s do everything you can and leave it all on the line for this game. And don’t have any regrets after the game.” But you know, while Creed reiterates Reid’s message to the team, the HC has warned his locker room to beware of the Eagles’ defense.

Andy Reid was on Colin Cowherd’s show on Wednesday. When Reid was asked about the scary defensive line of the Eagles, he delivered a strong message for Creed Humphrey and Patrick Mahomes. Andy Reid said, “Their skill position and their D-line uh jumps out at you. They’ve got great skills. They’ve got a quarterback that can deal with it. Their offensive line is strong. They’ve been banged, they were banged up a little bit. But they’re strong. And then that D line in their speed on the second level the linebacker level and in the back end with the secondary shows up.” Along with that, he also talked about the Eagles DC, Vic Fangio. Well, 66-year-old Andy Reid knows his opponent very well.

As we know, HC Reid was on The Colin Cowherd Show. Other than sharing thoughts on Vic Fangio, and the Eagles’ offense and defense, Reid also had a conversation about his wide receiver Xavier Worthy. Talking up his development, Reid said, “Listen, he has done everything we have asked him to do. Plus a little bit more. And that’s kinda where you gotta go with it… Some guys aren’t willing to do the things that we asked them to do.” Great stuff, that process probably helped Worthy make that insane touchdown in the Championship game. He was flying real high in that game.

Worthy made 6 receptions from seven targets in the Bills game where his average yards per reception was 14.2. And to talk about the overall season, he has had 59 receptions for 638 yards and averages at 10.8. That’s dope! There were also rumors that Worthy had received a bonus for making it to the Super Bowl in his rookie season. Worthy also wanted the Bills to know that they had made a mistake by not signing him in the 2024 NFL drafts. The Bills traded away their pick to the Chiefs who went ahead and grabbed Worthy in round 1. The 21-year-old threw some shade after the championship game, posting, “They skipped on me. That’s their loss.”
