It’s week 15 of the season. And the Chiefs are already into the playoffs. The fans are happy. But the question remains. Are they good enough to win in the playoffs? Patrick Mahomes & Co. has failed to score enough points on the offense that would raise confidence. After winning 12 out of 13 games, they have not crossed the 30-point barrier in any game. Most of their wins have been by close margins, including the week 13 and week 14 victories (both by 19-17).

And balancing, trying to do something.

For those of you who didn’t get it, here’s the thing he wants back. In 2018, he got his chance to start for the Chiefs. But he was also hungry for success. And with his performance, he won the hearts of Chiefdom. That season, in 16 games, Patrick Mahomes had 383 of 580 passes (66% completion rate) in 5,097 passing yards with 50 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Though they didn’t win the Super Bowl that year, they clinched it the next year, in 2019. However, that’s not the only thing. In 2018, they won the last game of the regular season but lost two matchups before it. In 2019, 2022, and 2023, when they won the Super Bowl, they won the last two games of the regular season in all of them.
