Alright folks, with less than a month to the Super Bowl LIX, Andy Reid and the Chiefs have their eyes set on their third straight title. But leave Kansas City aside, do you ever think of those classic NFL teams? Say the Steelers and the Patriots with the most titles in their glory days? These teams have etched their names in the football folklore when it comes to making a legacy. And here’s the thing, for Kansas City, the Chiefs are doing this job lately.

Remember that Christmas game against the Steelers? You most probably would, given the Chiefs clinched their third win in less than two weeks. But that wasn’t the only highlight of the game if we’re not wrong. The stands were full of Steelers fans in Terry Bradshaw’s jersey. And when asked, “What do you think maybe 20 years down the road people will think about this run you guys are having here in Kansas City,” the head coach had a straightforward answer: There’s no place better to do it than right here in Kansas City.”

But the thing is, the Kansas City team is in the middle of building that legacy right about now as the HC remarked. “When you’re in the middle of it, you really don’t think about it,” Reid continued. “You’re thinking about the next game. I mean…, when you look in the rearview mirror, then you normally get your tail kick. So you gotta be careful with that and we’re just trying to keep pushing forward.”

As they say, “The best way to predict the future is to create it,” the Chiefs couldn’t agree more with it. If coach Reid and QB, Patrick Mahomes, succeed in their three-peat, no wonder it’ll be another step toward cementing a legacy for the chiefdom. “But at the same time, we know we’ve got great fans,” the head coach said further. “I don’t ever want to slight that part, I mean, that arrowhead’s an unbelievable place to play.”

After beating the Steelers on Christmas Day game, Andy Reid’s Chiefs claimed the number 1 seed in the AFC and are in their bye week. And with the playoff games just around the corner, the QB is all set to make his records even better.

With the playoff fixtures scheduled, the 14 quarterbacks are on a hunt to get that ring. However, that’s not the case for Patrick Mahomes. The QB is on a hunt to finish the three-peat of the Super Bowl titles. Besides Mahomes, Matthew Stafford and Russell Wilson are the only QBs out of the 14 to get a Super Bowl ring.

And Mahomes? Well, he’s already got three. Given his postseason record of 15-3, the three-time Super Bowl champion and two-time MVP is leading the playoffs QB rankings. However, the Baltimore Ravens QB, Lamar Jackson, and the Buffalo Bills QB, Josh Allen, who are the top contenders for the MVP this year may give him solid competition. While Allen has a pretty solid record of 21 TDs in the postseason, he still has to make his first Super Bowl appearance.

What’s your perspective on:

Are the Chiefs the new dynasty, or do they still have a long way to go?

On the other hand, it won’t be wrong to say that Jackson’s poor playoff record is one of the most talked about things in the league. The two-time MVP is likely to win his third MVP this year, but what he desires most is a Super Bowl victory. After all, the Ravens fans are eagerly awaiting a Super Bowl ring on his finger.
