Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are laying the groundwork for ‘1587 Prime’- their new gastronomic destination poised to take the taste buds of their local fans for a joy ride. It looks like they are reading through Michael Jordan’s playbook. Just like Jordan, who made waves in the culinary scene with the launch of Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, Mahomes and Kelce are setting off on a parallel journey. And would anyone be surprised if the duo paid homage to coach Andy Reid? Not at all!

While Mahomes was shy about revealing too many details, he did confirm one thing. The menu would feature a special burger. “We’ll definitely have the ‘Andy Reid Cheeseburger’ on there. That’ll sure be on there.” The duo’s steakhouse is slated to open doors in early 2025.

The Chiefs‘ stars are already fans of Noble 33’s establishments, which span from the deserts of Scottsdale to the glitz of Las Vegas. And they had recently announced their own steakhouse in partnership with Noble 33. The name comes from their jersey numbers. ’15’ for Mahomes, and ’87’ for Kelce.

Mahomes and Kelce love to bring people together for a good time. They envisioned spending time with their close ones after football games and that’s what inspired them to come up with ‘1587 Prime’.

It’ll be set against the backdrop of the Loews Kansas City Hotel. ‘1587 Prime’ will sprawl over an impressive 10,000 square feet, spanning two floors replete with private dining spaces and a meat display that promises to be nothing short of spectacular. Boasting an expansive wine collection set to be the pride of the state, the restaurant also promises a menu as diverse as the plays on the football field. But it’s not the first time the two have teamed up together for a venture.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s F1 investment

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Rory McIlroy had ventured into the high-octane world of Formula One racing by pouring a substantial €200 million (roughly $216 million) into the F1 Alpine team. The October revelation came from the Renault Group, which disclosed the sale of a 24% stake in the Alpine Grand Prix squad to the consortium.

Mahomes expressed his thrill over this venture. “The opportunity to lead an investor group with Travis in Alpine F1 alongside Otro Capital was one I couldn’t pass up.” But Mahomes’ investment interests aren’t confined to the racetrack.

The Texas-born Chiefs QB had also spearheaded the Whataburger franchise group. His ambition? To unfurl 30 Whataburger outlets across Missouri and Kansas. Mahomes recalled, “I’d babysit my brother and there was a Whataburger literally down the street, and we would always grab that and kind of have that while my mom was working.”

The investment, therefore, is more than a business move; it’s an homage to cherished childhood memories and a cultural staple of his Texan upbringing.
