A couple of weeks ago, the idea of bringing Davante Adams to the Kansas City Chiefs would have sounded blasphemous. And why wouldn’t it? It’s not like Thanos of football would snap his fingers and the rivalry that dates to 1968 would just fade away. The Kansas City Chiefs faced the same problem when they lost Rashee Rice, and now they’re in the same conundrum with JuJu Smith-Schuster out due to his hamstring injury. But here, the buzz is around Cooper Kupp.
Now, rumors are swelling that the Los Angeles Rams might be looking to trade Cooper Kupp and they’ve already started contacting teams. Dianna Russini first broke the news. So, what do the Rams want in return? The same thing the Raiders would have wanted. they want the other team to pay Kupp’s salary this year and hand over a 2 round pick in exchange.
When Rashee Rice went down in the Week 4 game against the Chargers, reporters asked Andy Reid about his next “practice squad moves.” Reid believes he will stay put and work with the players he has available. The red team is 6-0 right now but the 3x Super Bowl-winning QB isn’t looking Mahomie enough.

Andy Reid might be of the same opinion now that he had a couple of weeks before. “I’ll visit [the moves] with each [practice session]. But right now, I think we’re okay with who we’ve got up at wide receiver,” Reid said in the week 5 presser after beating the Saints 26-13. The Chiefs receivers are falling like dominos and there’s no counter to cover that up.
Even Patrick Mahomes was asked on Carrington Harrison’s radio show released on 23 October about his involvement with the front office in such matters. The QB remained cryptic and said that the guys he has on the field are adequate to win football games. Amidst all this, Cooper Kupp is not aloof from the rumors that are floating around.

Cooper Kupp addresses the bleak trade possibility
The trade wheels are already in motion, but nothing is finalized yet. The Rams’ former OPOY addressed the situation. The trade rumors about the Chiefs are rampant as is. However, it’s worth considering. It is a possibility that Cooper Kupp could be traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is because, in the game against the Baltimore Ravens, both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin ended up hurting themselves. And there’s no set time for their return. But it’s just wishful thinking right now.

Kupp, though, understands the tough side of the football business. He commits to giving his best no matter where he plays. He’s currently with the Rams, so he’s focusing his efforts on supporting the LA team. “I have a job to do here,” is what the receiver said when he was asked about the rumors that were swirling around.

“For seven-and-a-half years, I’ve been an L.A. Ram and I’ve taken that approach every single day. And whatever happens outside of that, I gotta control what I can control and right now that means being the best L.A. Ram that I can be,” Cameron DaSilva of the Rams Wire for USA Today reported.
The trade deadline is approaching quickly (November 5). It really is the spooky season for the Kansas City Chiefs and many other teams. Maybe they can look beyond the tried and tested method of relying on Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. Trying something new can be worthwhile.
